Description

This is my first pc build. I purchased the parts one by one when it was on sale with rebate. I use the machine mainly for gaming and streaming. Installing the parts is okay considering this is my first build. I have watched tons of reviews and installation videos to support my build. I am not yet fully satisfied with my build. I might upgrade some parts. But oh boy can't stop staring at it from time to time. =) So proud of myself and not bad for a first time pc builder.

Part Reviews

CPU

CPU - i5 6600k - Awesome cpu nothing to complain. Overclocking is a breeze. I can only complain about the price i guess. If only i waited a little bit more i probably save extra dollars and spend it on other parts.

CPU Cooler

CPU COOLER - Corsair H100i GTX - I bought this on the right time. it was on sale for $30 cad off. I ignore the reviews on this one regarding the crackling noise at first it is annoying but when you started playing or doing something you tend to ignore it. Overall I should have listen to the reviews and look for a better one.

Motherboard

MOTHERBOARD - Gigabyte GA-Z170X Gaming 5 ATX - Great mobo! I have chosen this because of the fan headers and usb ports. Nothing to complain.

Memory

MEMORY - G.Skill Ripjaws V series - I decided to get this because of the price. I could have probably get higher DDR4 but this is enough for now.

Storage

STORAGE -Samsung 850 EVO Series 250GB - This thing is really expensive but i really want a fast stable storage and this one have a lot of possitive reviews. If price goes down for the PRO i might go with that also.

Video Card

VIDEO CARD - Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB - Good looking video card especially the leds. This fit my budget and the kind of games i'm playing right now. Might upgrade to 1080 in the near future that was just released recently.

Case

CASE - Corsair Vengeance C70 - I like this case because of it's durability. Cable management is easy. I'm planning of changing the plexi glass to a clear one for looks. I wish it have an option for a clear one though. It would be much easier.

Power Supply

POWER SUPPLY - EVGA 750W ATX12V - Based on reviews I ended up getting this. 10 year warranty is a peace of mind. I'm planning to change some the cables to a red one sometime soon to match my build.

Optical Drive

OPTICAL DRIVE - Asus DVD Writer - I actually need it just for installing my windows 10. lol I might do the stealth look that i saw in youtube. I notice it have a really annoying noise when turning on/off but other than that its okay.

Operating System

OPERATING SYSTEM - Windows 10 64bit - It's the latest one. Nothing to complain about. From Windows 7 jumping to Windows 10 i can't really tell the difference when it comes to performance. lol

Wireless Network Adapter

WIRELESS NETWORK ADAPTER - Asus PCE -AC68 802.11a/b/g/n/ac PCI Express x1 - It's really fast and i like the looked of it. It's magnetic too so it works with my case. I have an option to attach it to the case or put an extension that i can place in the right side panel of my case.

Case Fan

CASE FAN - Corsair Air Series AF120 Quiet Edition - Good looking fan with enough airflow when needed. Noise level is tolerable as well. I wish it have a led ring as well.

Keyboard

KEYBOARD - Corsair STRAFE - I got this keyboard on sale. It matched my red color theme.. I do not like the clunk sound when smashing the buttons but oh well. It have a really fast response though.
