How is that sound card? I am doing a build for my brother and he is interested in a sound card. Does it make that much of a difference? (His MoBo is gonna be Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard)
Probably not. Onboard audio has gotten better lately.
If he is interested in producing music/videos then a sound card would be good but if it is just for listening and producing than use the onboard, they are generally enough
Another r1 Uni User. How are the temps with this cooler? Are you going to overclock in the future?
Temps are good. At stock speeds, its at 27 idle Load 48. But Stock speeds don't mean anything. I will oc it soon. I had it on a 2500k oced to 4.3. Idl was 33. Load was 54 in BF4. Prime64 was at 65* Not bad.
Get the 390X, the 380X might just be a rebrand.
390x may be too high for my budget. I don't see myself paying over 500 for a gpu. My wife will kill me if she found out. =[
I'm looking into the R9 390 since its only $330.
Nice build. What did you think of the V21 to build in?
For a small case, it was easy. All the panels comes off, so I had enough room. Fits long GPUs, tall CPU coolers, Tons of water cooling options. Its a good case.
