Description

This was the first computer I've built, and the one that got me into PC building and small-form factor design. Since this build, I've created 2 other toaster PC's and a couple other designs, which you can check out on my builds.gg page or on my Instagram. Thanks to everyone who's supported my work and helped me along the way!

No add a threadripper and dont give it a cpu cooler. then overvolt it until it melts, then your toast will be toasted

Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.

Clean as heck! And you didn’t even need a $200 sff case to do it. Much respect.

Weird statement coming from a guy that can fab/mod his own chit. Why would you want to spend all that dough just to duplicate someone else’s creation? No fun in that imo.

That's fair. I'm a big fan of Josh from NFC though, and I'd love to support him and his designs eventually once I need something more practical and portable :)

All the ffxiv memes of playing on a toaster... and this guy builds one to actually play on :D

Should've put a MacBook in it, then it would be a functional toaster. Just load up a common game with some decent 3D graphics and lightning (Death Standing, GTA V, DOOM or Crysis) and within 10 minutes of playing your toast is toasted! 🤣

one question, how do you put a power switch? other than that great build

  • 1 point

Thanks! The toaster is turned on by pushing down the toaster lever. I used some of the parts from the original toaster to build it, as well as a basic momentary power switch which plugs into the motherboard and turns the PC on when it's pushed down. I have more pictures of this specific part of the build and a video of the toaster being turned on in an imgur post.

  • 1 point

Thanks! I'm not using this case or this CPU anymore, I have a R5 3600 now. The 2700x was great while I had it though, and the 240mm AIO kept it plenty cool :)
