Description

Thank you everyone for the kind words and pcpartpicker for the feature!! you rock

So this is about my fourth or fifth water cooled build I have done. Each one you learn something and I am very lucky to have a ton of fittings to adjust the build instead of waiting for parts. I really wanted to do something with a waterway and I actually think the regular core p5 builds with custom watercooling come off goofy. Reason being is they either have a massive reservoir or these ugly long weird runs for tubing. The waterway cleans this build up exponentially and I personally think it is stunning. I am not a typical thermaltake fan in any way.

Most of the watercooling components are bykski which you don’t typically see also barrow fittings. This reduced cost by a metric ton. I was actually shipped the incorrect waterway at which point the seller allowed me to keep it and sent a second one that was the correct version. Seating the blocks was a little tricky since instructions are in Chinese but I have done this plenty of times in the past with EK equipment so I didn’t have much issue. The lcd screen on the gpu block is quite nice and allows me to keep an eye on temperatures as well as the lcd in the motherboard for the cpu temps.

One downside is I cannot see the lcd screen on my asus Thor psu for power Intake, but it isn’t the end of the world I suppose. I also must say the psu is nice but asus needs some major adjustments on this to say it is worth the $220 I spent. The lcd is only on one side as well as the rgb. Also don’t be fooled only half the cables are braided shame on you asus. They literally only had to braid four more cables and it would be a complete set.

Part Reviews

Video Card

Evga and watercooling. Pairing the best warranty with water just Incase something happens. Can’t recommend evga enough. I would never purchase any other brand if I was watercooling.

Case

Quite an interesting case. I do like the design and how it hides the drives in the slim metal backing. It is quite easy to build in. One downside though is the acrylic side panel which I think they may have changed to glass but nothing but budget pc cases should come with acrylic side panels. Also the feet is plastic which gives a different texture, would have loved metal here as well. I hate to say it but I would recommend the case.

Why do you need such a powerful computer? Your eyes can only see 30 fps... I forgot to mention that the earth is flat and the moon is a hologram.

DocH submitter 4 Builds 22 points 1 month ago

Why you gotta state so many facts in one comment. The universe could have exploded from all that information

Ta1241 1 Build 3 points 1 month ago

i know right!

I believe that the eye has no FPS limit. I have a 144hz monitor, and, just for fun, decided to clock it down to 60hz and my games were unplayable.

Ta was trying to be funny/satirical. :D

And correction... us young guys can see a little higher than 30 frames. :P

I was trying to be funny/satirical too. I just have a dry sense of humor online.

ryansmission 5 Builds 2 points 24 days ago

I'm in Australia right now, and can confirm without doubt that it is indeed a conspiracy theory.

RayvenOne1 2 points 25 days ago

Yeah... Did you know that there are people that believe the world is flat all over the globe?

CuyMasterGaming 1 Build 3 points 25 days ago

Did you know that Hermione is black and Dumbledore was in a relationship with Gryndelwald?

JDawn747 1 Build 3 points 1 month ago

They're quite flowerful.

twitchcanadian 1 point 1 month ago

Ew, nature. Why'd you put that machine in dirt.

kevbui 4 Builds 2 points 1 month ago

Hotness! Which water reservoir is that? Looks hella good!

gthompson0912 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

Your cpu is so powerful it decided to stop and smell the flowers. I like this a lot! +1

Realdeal36 2 points 25 days ago

I'll need the name of your supplier of magical PC growing seeds within the next few months, please!

Thanks!

Essex23 1 Build 2 points 23 days ago

I'm sorry, but as soon as I saw this beast sitting on the ground....I almost had a heart attack.

I'm all for having nature involved in decoration, but just get a fake little plant from IKEA like the rest of us. lol

Love the garden photoshoot

kevbui 4 Builds 1 point 1 month ago

Also... which gaming mice is that?

DocH submitter 4 Builds 2 points 1 month ago

The finalmouse air58 ninja, and the reservior/waterway is in the parts list.

dannyo969 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

killer build brotha, i love the p5, I own one myself. well built and not priced badly.

articmonk 1 Build 1 point 28 days ago

I feel so refreshed just looking at your waterways! It fits right in with nature, and those cables must be made from the souls of dead jellyfish! Awesome build!

ColdConduct 1 Build 1 point 25 days ago

Your neighbors probably think you're building a spaceship in your garden.

sandris 2 Builds 1 point 25 days ago

Don't you think is dangerous keeping the PC on the grass? Also it could take the rain. I think is better if you keep it in safe into house.

DocH submitter 4 Builds 1 point 23 days ago

it was only to get natural light for the photos. it sits on my desk which you can see in the dark photos

RayvenOne1 1 point 25 days ago

That is E P I C.

BillyBroken 1 point 24 days ago

How are the Lian-li rgb cables, I'm slowly being won over by rgb and these cables seem pretty cool. Any idea what lighting software it is compatible with?

DocH submitter 4 Builds 1 point 23 days ago

I know it is being used through my asus aura. I am assuming it working with any motherboard controller and it comes with its own controller as well.

daUnitedpotato 1 Build 1 point 24 days ago

breathing intensifies

ryansmission 5 Builds 1 point 24 days ago

Such a beautiful office you have my friend...oh and a nice PC too

-parzival- 1 point 24 days ago

Congratulations on the feature. Nice daffodils. Tulips would have been better though.

Foley2004 1 point 23 days ago

How are the bykski blocks?

DocH submitter 4 Builds 2 points 22 days ago

I would say quality wise much better than ek. The plexi is much thicker so it would be harder to crack. They use acetal were fittings go in to avoid this issue as well. Also a lcd monitor on the hub is quite nice. I am shocked by their quality

Foley2004 1 point 22 days ago

Wow, great to hear

jacobsamdal 8 Builds 1 point 17 days ago

I really dig the color scheme man! Keep up the great work and check out my Water-cooled build!
