Description

Hello ALL,

After 2 months of searching for the be parts especially the processor considering the total budget for this build, I found that the RYZEN 7 1700 is the best choice for its performance. I'm running it right now with 3.7GHz and the system is stable. I know that I can go more but first I need to upgrade the cooling system then go higher maybe to 4.0GHz.

Asus B350-f gaming is the BEST motherboard I've ever seen for all features you can get and it won't break the bank.

For RAMs, I went with CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 16GB Kit with 3000MHz of speed. This is not the speediest ram but it gets the job.

With Samsung 960 EVO I'm super happy with the speed I got. I'm using it for OS and Editing Programs. The other HDD is Seagate Barracuda 1TB. I'll use it for saving projects and files temporarily before I transfer it to an external storage unit.

For GPU, I went with Gigabyte GTX 1050 TI for two reasons. First I don't want at this moment more than 4GB of VRAM and the other reason is that this graphics card becomes with 3 HDMI Ports and no need to use any external hub or plugs to connect two or 3 HDMI monitors.

For PSU I choose EVGA 550W B3 Bronze fully modular and that's more than enough for this build.

I put all those parts in NZXT S340 Elite. No word can describe this Case with its design. I'm a super fan of them right now.

Notice For gamers: I'm running Battlefield 1 on it and settings to 1080 Ultra. Everything is going smoothly with a very good FPS. I really like it.

For watching the whole process of this building, you can get it on my channel and HOPE you support me with Subscribe to see all the newest videos. LINK TO BUILD PROCESS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HY8X5lEZ4w

All Questions are welcome.

Best Regards. Vision Studio Ferenc

Really nice selection of parts if the PC is intended for video editing or productivity ;) Cores give it all! Just wanted to point out that giving it the name of "4K" when you have a 1050Ti and only 1080p screens is kind of misleading.

First of all thanks for replying to my build. Yes, you are right for the name when I just had 1080p monitors, but for the near future, I'm going to update to 4K cameras and monitor so I can be ready for it.

Best wishes Arminecraft.

Sounds promising ;) Hope you have fun with it hahaha

+1 for build quality How fast is that 1050ti doing your 4k. Really must know, Lol no disrespect man absolutely beautiful build.

Thanks, Justin. Yes, I've tried it doing some 4K editing and everything is smooth when cutting, moving through timeline or grading. I really like the way through this process. But for my setup, I'm using right now Dual 1080p monitors, so in the near Future, I'll change to a 4K monitor and enjoy the details.

Best regards.

Pretty sure your the first person in the history of the world to actually put all the stickers on their PC.

visionstudio submitter 1 Build 1 point 10 months ago

Haha. Yes, you are right. I've putted CPU & MB stickers to cover some of the low white side. It's really cool there and not disgusting.

Best regards.

I am curious about your CPU. I just built my system but i am looking at the possibility to change the CPU out for either a 1700 or a 7820x from intel for the future upgrade to the system. I would like to know how this performs with overclocking and how it handles editing video at 1080 and 4k (those are the two resolutions that my 6s records at). i can manage with my i5 currently but i'm just looking for some more background from people who don't make any money from saying certain things about computer hardware. (that probably sounds hypocritical because i want to join that world.)

Anything about how your system handles would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, Thanks for being interested in my build and asking. Through my experience with Ryzen 7 1700 in the past days, I measured this CPU with different kind of tests such as editing, grading, rendering, graphics and one game. I'm pretty awesome with the results I got. If you're going to make this build for editing, you'll get an amazing performance with 8 cores and 16 threads in addition to 20 caches. That is more than enough. you can edit or render while you're doing another task and the system is Comfortable. For editing in 1080p or 4K, this processor can cut them like a piece of butter. overclocking is awesome with the stock cooler comes with it. it's running right now at 3.7GHz and I can get more to maybe 3.9GHz. You can get more than this with another advanced cooling. that depends on your budget.

I hope that I've answered your question. You can watch my Video as well to see the final result.

Best regards.

Looks sweet mate, glad it's humming along well! Considering a new box with Ryzen5 1600, Asus STRIX B350-F Mainboard etc. here myself, and lookin' at various G.Skill & Corsair 16GB DDR4 RAM kits - what frequency have you got your RAM running at, and is it fine/stable? Is see you've got Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 CMK16GX4M2B3000C15. Cheers!

visionstudio submitter 1 Build 1 point 9 months ago

Thanks, bro. Yup, I'm using Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) at 3000MHz speed and it's stable at 2933 with 3.7GHz CPU speed. Best regards and have fun with your build.

Thanks for posting this build! I'm curious about the external storage you mention for the video editing. The single internal drive seems like a possible point of failure. Is the external storage for redundancy like a RAID array or just for archiving?

visionstudio submitter 1 Build 2 points 9 months ago

Thanks for your question John. I'm using the samsung 960 as the main drive for OS and editing programs because the fast speed you can get in read/write . The other storage unit is Seagate Barracude 1TB is just to save projects while I'm working on it. After that I copy it to another external HDDs as you said for just archiving. I hope that I've answered your question. BTW, you can see the video if your interessted in building. Best regards.
