Description

dec 2019 update

Pc is still running good. I recently added a 1tb Samsung860 evo ssd and an MSI 2070 super that I got with some credit I had at bestbuy.

I mainly built this PC for getting for gaming. I’ve played Xbox for a long, long time lol. So my expectations with this build are decent frames at 1440p.

I think I went a little crazy with the Corsair fans, but all and all I like how the system came together and it was so easy to assemble I don’t know why I waited this long!

Please let me know what you think !

Parts not listed:

x6 Corsair AF120

Cooler Master Hyper 212 black edition

Motherboard

The ability to do a bios flash with no cpu ultimately is why I went with this board.

Congrats on the new build, it looks amazing! Did you experience any issues with the CPU / mobo combo? I heard a lot of people are having issues with the bios

I must’ve gotten lucky! I bought this specific board for the usb flashback feature and it worked great.

I haven’t had a chance to really dive into the gaming end yet, but as soon as I get some time with it I’ll add it to my review

It’s still running strong. I mainly play borderlands 3 on it and have been pleased with the performance.

Good to hear. How are the temps and noise? I have the H210 and thinking about whether a blower card is a good idea or not.

Looks extremely similar to the build I've ordered the parts for, which is good news as it's giving me some reassurance.

Looks really nice. How are your thermals? I was considering getting a 5700 for my own first build but I've heard that AMD GPUs, in general, seem to have issues with cooling.

So far so good! Although i want to get some better fans that i can control the speeds, but so far it handles all my small collection of steam games nicely. I haven't really been able to get high framerates yet though. I have two different monitors ASUS VG245 1080p and a Samsung LU28 4K, both are 60hz. i am currently waiting on a monitor deal to pop up.

Hey man nice build, did you have any problems with clearence with the cpu cooler and the case? Just that im thinking of doing something similar and it says that the Hyper 212 is too big for the case.

Thanks man!

There is about 3/4 of an inch of clearance between the glass and the top of the cooler.

How are the drivers for the rx 5700? I'm building a very similar build, and I want to know whether there are are any driver issues.

I have the same exact motherboard + ram + cpu but I can't get it to post for some reason. my ram version is 4.32 but I'm using a 5700 XT in my build.

Did you update your bios with flash back? That may be the problem.

I'll admit i had a problem with it posting at first, but it was because i bent one of the pins on the cpu when i placed it in the socket. I straightened it out and no problems since! haha my rookie mistake.

Does MSI B450M GAMING work with R5 3600 ? and how

It works with a bios reflash. With the board I used you can flash through the USB port without needing an older CPU
