Description

This is going to be used for a lot of different things. Some of them include programming and game development with Unity. Once graphics cards are back in stock, I will also be using this for gaming. I would probably get a gtx 1080. By then I will also get a new monitor, probably a 1440p 144Hz or a cheap 4K 60 Hz. For anyone wondering, the graphics card I'm using right now is temporary, because X299 does not have integrated graphics. The CPU, Motherboard, and SSD I got discounted, so the price you see isn't what I actually paid.

Edit

I pushed the CPU to 4.5 GHz with Gigabyte's included tool, and the CPU stayed below 50 degrees under load.

Edit

Recently acquired a gtx 960 4GB from a friend for helping them upgrade their system. Also bought a new mouse because my old one stopped working.

Awesome build! This is so similar to my first build that I did start of January! Same CPU, MB and case (mine is in black though, wife got the grey one)

Thanks for sharing. I am building PC right now, a lot of our choices are similar, but I will not be using my PC for gaming. The major differences are in cooling and video card. My MB choice was Gigabyte X299 UD4 Pro, same processor and memory. Also I got a 500gb SSD, 4TB SATA and Blu-Ray writer, same case and power supply. Amazing! I can always upgrade some of the parts, right now I am finishing assembly, then I will set up Win10 64 on SSD drive, then move data from 3 older SATA drives to new one.
