+ Total (United States):
I have to admit this was rather annoying to build, I started off with a Kraken x62 and MSI Tomahawk z270, after accidentally bending the pins on both of them, first from wiping thermal paste off the bracket and brushing up against the pins, second from dropping the cpu on the pins (butter fingers over here). The Kraken x62 covered my ram slots and I didn't like that so I upgraded to the EVGA CLC 280 so I can buy another 16gb of ram in the future. I also had to buy 2 i7-7700ks. I delid both of them, but the first one when I moved somehow broke, possibly due to the superglue? I'm not sure, but the second one I used RTV instead of superglue and when I move again in a few months we'll see how it holds up.
All total parts in file 13:
My sister's a die hard AMD fan and her build is blue, so naturally I had to make an Intel/NVidia build that was red. The only logical outcome of this, is for her pc to be named "Team Blue", and my pc to be named "Team Red".
The 840 EVO was pulled from my laptop, I purchased it 3-4 years ago for $600, so that's the price I'm putting it as on here.
I had to make a custom prop to keep the 1080 from sagging, hid it behind the power cables so you can't even see it.
Parts for the future:
Furmark ran for 30 minutes on 8xMSAA, 1080p max temp: 60 Degrees C.
4/5 stars, Already thinking about replacing the TIM. 4.8Ghz is stable, 5.0Ghz is mostly stable, but the temperature difference between 4.8Ghz and 5.0Ghz is enough that I'm keeping it at 4.8. Paired up with a Kraken x62.
Awesome stuff, came with enough to replace the paste on my build twice, and also replace the paste on my 4 year old laptop's CPU and GPU, with just enough left over to do one more chip if I need to.
works like a charm. I almost wish I would have bought the RGB or Red LED version though, the rest of my build drowns out the flair these sticks have.
You're a boot drive, Harry
Fast. So far this drive has lasted me 3 years with no issues. I'm currently using it as a game library.
2x of these in RAID0 gives me a read/write speed of 300-500MBPS. I'll get 2 more in the future and put them in RAID0+1. good drives
Out of the box this card boosted to 1,999Mhz. at Idle it sits at 38-40 degrees, and I haven't seen it go over 50 degrees yet. though I haven't been keeping an eye on it because I can't even hear the fans over my Kraken x62's fans.
Beautiful, Well made case. my only complaint is that there could have been a little more space for the 280mm radiator on the top, and there could have been a little more room on the back for cable management, but this case has much more room than what I've had in the past. This case is super quiet! I can't even hear the case fans/pump/cpu fans running over ambient noise in my house. So over all 5/5 stars. Good job NZXT.
well, so far my power bill hasn't gone up lmao, and none of my parts seem to be needing more power. It must be doing it's job :P
I've had this monitor for just about 3 years now. I would have to say it was one of my better purchases over the years. I will continue to use it in this build even though the AOC will be much bigger in both pixel and physical size.
This thing is awesome. I've been using a laptop keyboard for years, so I'm not yet used to a mechanical keyboard yet, but I can already tell the quality Cherry MX Switches. the keycaps feel nice as well, and the RGB lights are highly customizable. the only thing I haven't figured out how to do if it's even possible, is have a static color while an effect lightning is happening. This thing does not feel cheap in any way.
E/ It's taken me about a week and a half to get used to this keyboard, well worth the investment
It's a good mouse, fully customizable button targets. sensor will not work past about 10 inches even with brand new batteries.
WOW. I did not expect to get as many cables as I did. this is a great value pack. and the cables are beautifully made. I would liked to have a different pattern, but that is on me for not looking carefully at what I was purchasing.
