Description

Took a hot minute to get a 9070 XT but I got it. Was originally gonna grab a 4080 super(I think you know what happened) and my PSU wattage would have been higher if I knew I'd end up going with a 9070 XT. Other than that, I LOVE this thing. Don't judge my peripheral choices..

Part Reviews

CPU

What can I say that hasn't already been said? It's a 16 core beast.

CPU Cooler

$50 and keeps my 7950X below 90C under load. Very worth it.

Thermal Compound

I'm absolutely not qualified to review thermal paste, but this and the thermalwright aqua elite keep my CPU chilly, so... good I think

Motherboard

Great mobo for the price. Good I/O, with an integrated sheild, good VRMs I think, lots of m.2 slots and fan headers. I don't really like the bios, personally I'm an asrock fanboy, but it's functional, and i'm sure it's someone's style.

Memory

Ram functions just fine but each kit has one stick that slowly gets out of sync with the others. I don't use animated ram RGB so no big deal, but it's still weird, so it doesn't deserve 5 stars.

Storage

ssd works great, hits rated speeds, haven't had any problems with it

Video Card

Good card but msrp is dead.

Case

Case is great but the USB connector is a 90 degree connector, which is fine on lower end motherboards, but on boards that also have 90 degree usb headers, the connector has to bend weirdly and i don't like it. Good case though, room for cable managment and the temperuature monitoring is nice and convienient.

Power Supply

PSU works, my only nitpicks is that the 6+2 connectors feel a little annoying to plug in and that there are two cables with two 6+2s each. Who would ever need four 6+2s? I assume it would make triple 8 pin cards look weird without cable extentions
