Ah, my first PC! I wasn't the smartest while picking out my parts in late 2014, but I love it with all my heart. As I learned more and more, I finally cable managed everything correctly and overclocked my CPU and GPU. I originally had 4x4GB of the Crucial Ballistix ram, but while working on a cousin's PC, I gave him a kit so it would fit his heatsink. I added back the 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance I started my build with. The SSD was a great upgrade once I got the money a few months later and I eventually put Windows 10 on it once they worked out all the driver issues. To this day, I've never used the damn Blu-Ray RW drive. I thought I needed a sound card though I'm anything but an audiophile, so I could've saved some money getting rid of that. I'm pretty comfortable with my temps, though they could be better. It plays my games and allows me to do some minor video editing. I hope one day I can upgrade to Ryzen 5 1600 or maybe an i7 7700k, but until then, I'm good. For peripherals, I have two VG248QE 1080p 144Hz monitors, a G510s keyboard, and a G502 mouse.

Edit: I know I have different fans in the first image, I had SP120's at first because I was a dummy.

Part Reviews

Does what I need it to at a great price, though I should've picked something newer.

CPU Cooler

Have you ever seen a negative review of this cooler?

Holds my parts and makes stuff work. My only complaint is that it'll double or triple boot to load overclocking settings on startup, but apparently that's normal for these Gigabyte boards.

It's fast ram. It works.

Got a good sale on it when SSD's were a bit more expensive and have gone through 3 clean installs of Windows so far.

Only ever filled up when the Steam summer sales hit me

Video Card

I give it a 3.5/4.

Memes aside, it does me well for 1080p gaming and will definitely last me several years.

Holds my stuff, has plenty of breathing room, keeps lots of dust out, and has great cable management.

Power Supply

Powers my stuff and looks super neat.

Operating System

Why should I pay so much for an OS that is free for MS to distribute that also takes my advertising data to make them money?

Is that cpu bottlenecked at all? I have never had experience with an amd fx cpu

Ehh, the CPU could be a bottleneck in some games. It's better than you expect, but definitely not worth going for unless you get it super cheap.
