Hello! Thanks for checking out my build! Some backstory, so this actually started off as just a simple case upgrade for an older PC I had....and it ended turning into this RGB monstrosity. About a year ago, I was gifted the Corsair H110i GTX, but didnt have a case that could fit the entire radiator so I upgraded my case from the Corsair Carbide Spec-01 case to the NZXT H440. So thats where I'll start:
NZXT H440: Great Case, a bit pricey but if you can find it on sale, then its definitely worth it! Plenty of drive bays as well as 280mm top mounted radiator support, and an amazing PSU shroud.
Later. I decided I wanted to upgraded my CPU from an i5-4460. During Black Friday the intel i5-7600k went on sale, so I picked it up. This processor uses an 1151 socket which meant I also needed to upgrade my MOBO. I wasn't planning on overclocking YET, and my buddy was selling his Asus b250H motherboard for pretty cheap, so I picked that up from him, and I gotta say it is actually a pretty sweet motherboard. I was pleasantly surprised by the red LED river pattern looking thing it has going on the towards the bottom left of the board. In the future when z270 motherboard prices drop, I will upgrade and overclock my processor, but for the meantime this board is great.
Going back to the AIO, this cooler is an absolute beast and keeps my CPU nice and cool. Idle temps are usually around 23 degrees. I haven't had the chance to run full tests to get load temperatures, but I will update soon. I replaced the stock fans with the ThermalTake Riing 14 RGB which I got for Christmas and they look absolutely amazing and are actually really quiet!
Since I was upgrading to an 1151 socket I also needed to get some DDR4 ram, as previously I had DDR3. During black friday the G.Skill Trident Z RGB ram actually went down to a reasonable price for 16GB, so I bought it, and I can say I am in love with how NICE this ram looks. I never thought I would say I am in love with a stick of RAM, but honestly this RAM is gorgeous.
My GTX 1060 I had from my previous build, and I see no reason to upgrade it as this card is honestly a beast, and can handle every game I have thrown at it, at either "very high" or "ultra" settings, with at least 60FPS. The RGB is another Plus and it looks pretty great. Sadly, a majority of the RGB lighting is by the fans, which is not visible as the fans face down towards the PSU shroud, but oh well...I have enough RGB to compensate lol.
I tried my best to take decent photos, but I am just using my phone, so hopefully it still looks as good as it does in person...anyway...thanks for stopping by and checking out my build, leave any questions or comments below, I'd love to hear your opinions!
Great Processor for the price! No Complaints!
Amazing 280mm AIO, keeps temps nice and cool! Around 23 degrees Celsius idle.
Not to high end motherboard, but the quality of the material is top notch, and the board is aesthetically pleasing!
Beautiful and fast Ram!
Latest Firestrike score: 10,467. Pretty Solid overall, and can run every game I throw at it at either very high or ultra settings at 60FPS and at 1080p.
Plenty of Room and loads of drive bays. Grommets are in the perfect locations, and the PSU shroud is beautiful. Could not recommend the case enough!
Reliable, no complaints, gets the job done!
Silent yet beautiful!
Great Quality IPS display, with 60Hz refresh rate and a 5ms response time!
Decent mouse, looks great, and feels great in the hand, but my only gripe with it is that I wish there was a few more buttons.
Sound is great, but they get uncomfortable over long periods of use (i.e 2 hours)
Great sounding speakers, that get the job done, nothing to fancy here...wish they were RGB tho ;)
