It has been 7 years since my last computer build. I wanted a system that could (hopefully) play the future release of UT4 (I play the pre-alfa version with no problems). Also, I wanted a motherboard that was fairly "future proof" in terms of current technology. The system went together with zero problems.
This was my first use of a full ATX case. Man, I love it. I'm never going back to a mid-tower ever again. Corsair has a winner here in that it is roomy, fits my taste (can't stand cases with too much bling), and was a real pleasure to build with. Also, I know I still have some cable clean up to do. Nevertheless, It is still a cool looking system.
FYI- The fans on my graphics card do not run all the time. They only come on when the GPU temp reaches 50 or 60 degrees Celsius (can't remember which one). Interestingly, I have not reached either of these temps, yet. Consequently, I don't know how loud the fans are. Speaking of fans, my system fans are super quiet and increase or decrease in speed based on system temp (all 4 of my 140mm fans are connected to my NZXT Sentry 3 Fan controller.
Finally, the 6600k processor and Gigabyte video card overclocked nicely using Easy Tune and Extreme Gaming software, respectively.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I'll do my best to answer them.
