Description
Well it took me a while to hunt for the right deals and find all of the parts that i needed/wanted but here it is. This will be used primarily for gaming with some stuff for work thrown into the mix as well. Build went very well and i did not run into any issues whatsoever. The hardest part for me was getting the new bracket to mount correctly for the Cryorig C7 heatsink as well as the front panel connectors haha. It was an awesome experience and i already want to build another. I didn't take as many pictures as i would have liked but i will try and get some more. Also ignore the Corsair Vengeance Pro memory i had in there, it was just a place holder from BestBuy until my Team Tforce memory came in! It sure was an amazing feeling to turn this thing on for the first time and everything post AND all of the buttons on the front panel work:)
I have not overclocked anything yet but i plan to do some mild overclocking just to learn. Just installed MSI afterburner yesterday to monitor the temps of everything but havent checked it yet. I tried to go with a white/black theme but i think i wound up having more black than anything. Therefore that is white i tried adding some white vinyl to the SSD and front part of the case. Have not decided if i will keep the EVGA part or not. I think i did ok at hiding most of the cables in the front but i can do a little better on some of them i think. I was kind of scared if breaking some of them since they were so stiff lol. Please comment with tips or questions! Thanks for looking and thanks to all that helped answer my questions in the forums!
Part Reviews
CPU
Working great so far. Have not overclocked.
Just tested out the Temps and the CPU never got over 61°c while gaming.
CPU Cooler
Looks and works great but was a headache to get the AM4 mounting bracket upgrade to mount correctly. Keeping CPU temps at 61°c under load.
Motherboard
Great so far, everything posted fine and works. Have not tired any overclocking yet.
Memory
Great looking RAM and was able to get it to the 3000MHz thru the bios. Did have an issue at first with getting one of the modules to sync with Aura. Had to remove them and switch them to opposite slots and they worked fine after that.
Storage
Great for the price and is fast for booting Windows 10
Storage
Not much to say about this other than it works great
Video Card
Very pleased with my choice in going with the 1070 vs the RX 580. Got this brand new for the same price. Only have a 1080p monitor until black Friday rolls around but i have played Insurgency Sandstorm and i am getting around 100-120 FPS with everything completely maxed. Occasionally it will drop to 80 FPS but i think the game has some optimization issues still. Fortnite runs around 150 FPS maxed out. Have not overclocked to see how far it can go. Very quiet. Temps while underload never got above 61°c while so far
Case
Nothing bad to say here either. For the price i got tempered glass and 4 included fans, 3 of which are RGB fans. Cable management was just fine and easy to work with. Came with Velcro straps as well to help out. Stand offs were pre-installed as well. Air flow seems actually good for having a glass front. Case came with dust filters on top and bottom as well.
One thing that i did not realize that these fans from raidmax will not sync with Aura so that kinda sucks.
Power Supply
Works as expected.
Operating System
If you are looking for Windows 10 go check out Ebay! got it for $6 and they email the code to you within a few minutes. 100% legit.
