Description

Got this DELL optiplex 9010 for free and started throwing in/upgrading parts along the way. So this optiplex started out with i5-3470 cpu, no dedicated gpu, 4 gb of ram and some fishy 275W power supply. Keeping in mind that new parts cost much more than used ones I started to look for some second hand deals. This is what I have so far. Everything runs smooth as silk and temperatures under load are on the lower side. Couldn't be any more happier with this.

Great build, and I love the PSU even more!

Nice budget build. :)

I assume the prices on the left are not the one you paid for the components. You can edit your list an set the price manually.

With the computer opened up, we get to see the plumbing. If it crashes, make sure to flush the caches and take a core dump.

Since all other components depend on it, a power supply is the number two most important part to get for your computer. That power supply looks kind of crappy. Since it is located above the cooler, when it craps out, the **** will really hit the fan.

(to be clear, I don't actually see anything wrong with the PSU. Last paragraph is just for pun.)

Fishy PSU? That XFX TS 550W Gold is practically an upgraded Seasonic G 550 Gold.

Nice build.
