Description

Originally built this in early 2013 in a zalman z11 case, psu failed just after Christmas so decided to make a few upgrades at the same time. Needed a more up to date case to fit in a corsair h105 that keeps my i5 3570k @4.6ghz very cool.

Did try a phanteks enthoo pro m nice case but couldn't live with how flimsily the side panels where, it was also awkward to get them on. Decided I wanted a more sleek looking case so tried a fractal define r5 nice case again but I did not like the door as its not magnetic and wanted a larger window so tried the define s but missed my optical drive. Did buy a external drive but didn't like it when burning cds to much vibration. Also the define s case I had, when the left side panel was off the case rocked on its feet was fine with the panel in place.

Seen the Thermaltake f31 and it looked like a cross of the fractal define r5 and define s I know the case is like a copy but for my needs its better suited for what I want if the define r5 had a larger window that would have been the case for me but as things are am now happy with the thermaltake f31.

Really nice....... So you used the SP120's on the H105 to push and on the "PULL" side you only have one fan. My guess is that is one of the original fans of the H105 but is there a reason 2 other original fan is not in use?

Well done +1

Hi Liam81, yeah ive got the sp120's on the front as push the original fans that came with the h105 are a little noisy so didn't want to use them. The fan on the rear as pull is a Thermaltake ring led in white its mainly for air flow to the graphics card as my cpu temps are already really low I may get another with a 3 pin y cable splitter. Thanks for your comment this is my first post :)

Very similar story to my build. Glad the 3570k is still going strong for you!

nice and clean build great job. you should look into maybe getting some blue bitfenix psu cable extensions to put the cherry on top of your dedication to the color scheme :')
