Description

Did this build for a friend/client. Their only requests were to use a gold/black color scheme and to make it look like a Transformer.

What took the longest was leak testing it as well as stability testing it while overclocked. Managed to pass all stress tests without crashing running at 5.0 Ghz on all cores. Also overclocked the graphics card (+1000Mhz on memory and +185Mhz on GPU) using EVGA's Precision X1.

I’m calling a feature. What a build (and what a backdrop)! The hardline is so clean

Where is the gaming chair and also add your lambo to the price list to make it the most expensive on pcpp.

Hi,

What is the cost for the cougar case + the custom paint ?

Thanks,

Sick build man!!!

That cost is insignificant when taking into account the whole build... and the lamborghini.

Man this build is sick. Really nice job man. I probably wouldn't even use it, just put it in a show case and leave it there. +1 P.S. How are your temperatures?

Thank you very much! The temps are really good considering this case is partly open air. When I stress tested it using Intel XTU CPU stress test for 8 hours, the highest it got was ~70 C. When playing Diablo 3 (even after 4 hours of straight gameplay) it's never goes above 50 C and usually sits in the high 30s to low 40s.

Similarly the GPU stays below 60 C.

Wouldn't be surprised if the case was made of REAL gold! Awesome job!

Thank you very much. I've seen a more yellowish gold used in another build, but it looked weird to me, so I decided to make it more of a satin gold.

Add in your lambo to make it the most expensive build on Pcpp.

ok, 2 questions:

Is that orange piece on the side removable, or is it not riveted in? I thought it is not to be removed. I need to know bc it kinda kills the look of the case with a forced color scheme.

Also, did you have to sand it down before painting, and what type of paint did you use.

Thanks in advance!

  1. Yes the orange piece on the side is removable. It's held in by 3 screws that screw in to the front portion of the case.

  2. After taking the case apart, I took it into a shop that specializes in powder coating car rims and had them powder coat it. If you're planning on painting it yourself, the answer is yes, you would first have to sand it down.

Alright, great! I think powder coating it would look much better than if i did it myself, but I probably don't have the budget and/or a place to do it. Thank you, though!

what's wrong with it?

Seeing this guy's other comments, I'm guessing the problem is probably that Windows 10 Home isn't custom watercooled.
