After graduating college and getting a desk job I decided I wanted to treat myself so I started saving.

The outcome was a machine that I hope can do every game I throw at it and handle large workloads in Sony Vegas / Photoshop.

Cable management has always been a struggle for me but the Phanteks case and cable extensions worked well so I could hide the mess in the back.

Of course I joined the hype-train and got some RGB, really satisfied with the Captain RGB, Asus Maximus and G.Skill Ram.

Runs fast and can overclock this thing pretty darn well. I will update some overclocks here soon when I see what I can get.

EDIT Delidded my CPU with an ebay 3d printed delid tool sold by forg0t. Work's amazing. Used a pair of channel locks and bam! Now my temps under "gaming load" are around 45 degrees. See last picture! I will probably overclock to 5.0+ Ghz now :). Hit around 75c when benching. See CPU-Z screenshot.

Part Reviews

Good processor, just a tad "faster" than Skylake.

CPU Cooler

Cooler runs pretty quiet and the provided fans move a lot of air. The RGB works well but is slightly dim / hard to see at an angle.

First ASUS motherboard and I really like it. Tuning works well and the Bios UI functions much better than my previous boards.

Stable at 3000 and the colors with Asus Aura Sync cannot be beaten...

Video Card

Card rocks games, fans are a little louder than my old MSI 970 but still rather quiet. Runs games amazingly, can get 144hz most of the time when I need it.

Case is a treat to work in. Comes with tons of dust filters, plenty of room for cables, its quiet, has an RGB front and adjustable fans...What more could you ask for. Oh right, Phanteks provides tons of cheap case upgrades and ways to expand.

Power Supply

Huge EVGA power supply fan...The cables are round but not too bulky. Plenty of options to get everything connected.

Okay monitor, the color is awful but can be corrected to decent...I'd personally get an IPS panel next time.

100% recommend this mouse over any others. I love larger ambidextrous mice and this fits the bill. The plastic feels very sturdy and the sensor / programming work wonders.

Hello, could you give me your opinion on the Anidees - AI Halo Crimson Red 39.7 CFM 120mm Fan, I think it looks really good but it is an unknown brand so I first want some feedback before I buy them :)

I really like the fan. It moves a good amount of air (not the best, but NOT bad). It's also one of my more quiet fans when it is at lower RPM's and gets to about the same noise level as the rest under load. The color IS awesome, gives a sweet circle look that looks great when you have multiple. One of my more favorite simple, cheaper fans.

Hey man great build by the look of it. Can I just ask why the 3 SSD and 1 HDD, why drop the extra money on the 2 non-boot SSD's? Is it work related ir do you plan on filling them with games? Thanks.
