£1100 Gaming Build - TFU

Finally finished my new gaming rig. 2nd time ive built a rig. The H60 was a right pain in the arse as the threading on the radiator was really ******, so had to send it back (I felt physically ill using the stock intel cooler). Expected better from corsair tbh. Booted up first time though!

All in all really pleased with new build gets between 75 and 125 in BF3 on ultra. Its so quiet too! You may be wondering why i opted for a 850w PSU.. Seems pretty overkill I know but I want to crossfire in the future and add more storage (I download alot of stuff). I already owned the G500 and two 500GB drives so yar.

Also I will be replacing the screen this Christmas with some monitors as I will probably go blind if I use this TV much longer.

Anyway would be great to get some feedback maybe some suggestions on a monitor.

Btw TFU stands for: The Fuckest Uppest and apologies for my awful quality pics.

I like how you kept to a color theme inside. You may want to flip the PSU over as long as the tower doesn't sit on carpet. I would also consider removing the unused HDD cage.

How do you like the psu?

Have you been able to overclock well with the corsair cooler?

First off Really nice build its almost identical to my first build except the CPU&H100i on mine.

What benchmark scores are you getting?

I second the idea of moving your SSD to the back (behind motherboard) and the 3 Hard drives to the bottom 3 trays and then getting rid of that center portion. It made mine cooler by 7-10 degrees because the tray wasn't blocking the airflow from the front of the case. Glad you flipped the PSU!

where did you buy all your parts from?

Electrospeed 0 points 48 months ago

You got ripped the f off by that memory. Wayyyyyy expensive.

Other than that, not bad.

ram in the uk is a rip off everywhere

Considering I bought all the parts before nvidia dropped its prices I think not. Shame really. Also the 280x was so much cheaper than the 770 when I got it.

tapianon 1 point 48 months ago

That's the 2GB version I'm sure. The 4 GB 770 is still approaching $400.
