Description

This Build came about cause of my old Asus Crosshair IV Formula board dying on me RIP

So the Idea for this build started out as Black and Green, But thought how many people have done just 2 colors. I wanted something a little different so I decided to go with black, red, green as the main colors along with an NZXT Hue RGB Lighting for more colors as it has a mode that cycles through multiple colors.

Not a problem at all, I'd water cool mine but I would rather not have the chance at damaging a $700 GPU.. lol

There really isn't a huge risk as long as you use Non Conductive liquid and cover everything with towels or something while leak testing.

  • 2 points

Non conductives become conductive after being exposed to the materials in the piping and radiator for long enough. Trace amounts of metal and other things come into the water and turn it conductive.

Th extreme overclocking forum has a good beginners guide to water cooling. If you go down to #15 leak test they explain how to jumper your psu to turn on when it's not connected to the motherboard.

Yes this makes it extremely easy to get your air bubbles out without having to turn it on and off. Or they sell premade 24pin connectors with a switch on it, I got mine for like $5 I think, well worth it.

Np! This deserves many compliments as it is a high end build and something you put much more effort into than just assembling

  • 1 point

Lol honestly the assembly (including filling) Took me about 3 hours to do cause I had to get it finished for a mod competition :D Some parts showed up the day of so it was a bit of a squeeze xD

Thank you sir :)

  • 1 point

Good looking. I especially like the choice of green. I do have one question. Why the wood painted black vs sheet metal or something similar?

  • 1 point

Wood is super easy to work with, without having to have certain tools for plastic or metal. Also when people looked at it in person they didn't even know it was wood :)

  • 1 point

Heck, that's awesome. Any problems with heat that you wouldn't see with metal?

  • 1 point

No adding in the panels doesn't effect the cooling at all.
