Why a 980 TI over a 1070? 1070 has more GDDR5 and better performance overall for cheaper.

I did the same thing, its only about 10 dollars more and you get alittle more out of it. I didnt intend on overclock either cause i thought it wuld be overkill

Why a 980 TI over a 1070?

Very easy answer... He is running mac os.

This is a hackintosh running OS X 10.11.4

The 1070 is not compatible at this moment.

I'm running mac os x and nvidia doesn't have a supported web driver.

That's because mac OS doesn't support the pascal lineup of GPUs and right now, the 980ti is cheaper that the 1070, while performing slightly faster that the 1070.

What is the latest guide you used for creating a Hackintosh? I see a lot of different information but was hoping someone who actually managed to get it running would be able to point someone in the right direction.

Love that case & love this build!

check tonymacos site... they have a tutorial with this same board if you are planning on using it. You can find other tutorials too. You will need a real mac to make the installer.

How did you install the CPU cooler? It looks like it vents directly against the front panel.
