Description

I started in October moving all my components from my casair spec 2 case to this one and updating to a 1070 . Then spending the next 2 months trying to paint it and re painting it. then I decided to get a vinyl wrap instead Which looks so much better then the paint ever would of. It runs at 1440p at 60fps no problem on high to ultra depending on the game. Iv only put a wild overclock on the CPU of 4.2ghz i know i can go higher but i dont need to it runs everything i throw at just fine lol and im still tinkering with my GPU it have a slight overclock on it right now but nothing serous.

I was super OCD this my setup to make it so you couldn't see any wires wherever you were looking and i think i accomplished that goal. I started finding the most comfortable position for my keyboard and mouse so i could drill a hole in the top of the desk. I drilled a 1 1/2" hole and put a grommet in it for a clean look. I used stick on zip tie anchors, zip ties and Velcro straps to cable manage everything. And used Double sided 3M tape to attack the USB 3.0 HUB and speaker Control Box to the top and side of my desk of easy access.

I couldn't find a coaster i liked any anywhere i made one myself from a piece of slate and put the house targaryen sigil on it from Game of Thrones. I think it turned out well of my first time painting something like that lol.

I will be getting a second 1070 in later this year but sadly my power supply doesn't have enough PCI power slots so ill have to get a bigger one as well.

WOW! For around 2000 dollars, this is an extremely great setup. I love that you stuck with a color scheme on all the parts you chose. Your parts choice is excellent on your PC. Im glad you didnt jump on the Kaby lake train, your Haswell processor is just fine, and 4.2Ghz is more than enough paired with your 1070. An excellent setup, thanks for sharing.

Where do you keep your headset? I have pretty much the same desk setup going on and I use a anchor adhesive hook under the desk.

I keep it in the top drawer along with a Xbox controller, battery pack and all my cables and adapters. All the cables wrapped up with Velcro straps. I didn't want them hanging under my desk just in case they got in the way plus I have cats I know they would play with them hanging there lol

Ok. I really appreciate the cable management. I might have to drill some holes in my Malm as well because you make it look so nice. How is that speaker system? I've never seen it before.

If you do do drill a hole use a hole saw and cover the spot where you're dilling with painters tape it protects the desk for scratches and what not lol. The speakers sound really good and have alot of base lol which is adjustable along with the treble

Hey, I'm building an almost identical red and black build with I5-4690k, GTX 1070, 32gb's of Ripjaw X and an Asus Z97-A. Although im using an S340 i think these or some similar vinyls would suit mine. Just wandering where you got them? Thanks, Tre
