I’ve posted an earlier version of this build however I’m starting to converge on a final build. I might get RGB fans like ML 120’s or LL 120’s. I didn’t like NZXT’s rgb options so I went with Corsair because I liked how my brother’s Corsair RGB build looks.
I’m a mechanical engineering student and want to use this build for Solidwprks modeling and FEA, thermal, and fluid analysis using Ansys. Might use it for star ccm too.
Of course I use the build for gaming too although I don’t have much time to game currently.
I liquid cooled my GPU using a Kraken G12 mounting bracket. Liquid cooling an ASUS Turbo GTX 1080 was a good way to get good performance and temps and a lower cost. The 1080 was used off eBay.
Like I said in my first post I should’ve gone with 3200 MHz RAM but I run them at 2800 which is fine with me. I’ve been considering modding my case with a glass or acrylic panel instead of polycarbonate and/or adding support for a 240mm radiator on top for better airflow.
I might design and 3D print a backplate in white and print one for my brother while I’m at it.
If I’m feeling spendy I might upgrade to a H700i or white Corsair 460x

Liquid cooling fixed the terrible cooling. Performs great
Easy to build in and looks good. Plastic window scratches easy though
