Welcome! So I chose these parts with the intention of it being used throughout high school and college (I'm a Junior at the time of writing). So I may have gone out too far with these parts, but I am extremely glad that I did, because they all work superb.

Use As I said above, I wanted this to last throughout my academic career, but that's not all. I love games and I wanted something that could play the latest and future titles well. Considering that I'm upgrading from a 2011 iMac, it's pretty awesome! Also, I wanted a computer that could process things fast. It could be encoding videos, compiling Java programs, or rendering out an animation.

Actual Building The building process took a bit longer than what I anticipated. This was mainly because I have never built a computer before, and didn't want to mess anything up. Total build time was around 6 hours, but if I had to do it again, I could do it in under 3.

Conclusion So yeah, don't really know what else to put here. It runs faster than what I expected and is just overall great. It can handle whatever I throw at it. Sooo thanks for reading :D Comments are welcomed.

Part Reviews

Not going to overclock right now, but it's blazing fast and does what I need it to do.

CPU Cooler

Quiet and it keeps my CPU cool. Just a warning; this is fairly large.

Thermal Compound

It's thermal paste... but it works great!

Audio is nice and their BIOS was easy to navigate, plus it just looks great. Would buy again.

The casing itself looks and feels amazing. It also gets the job done.

Installed Windows 8.1 on it, and it loads super fast! Highly recommend.

I was recommended this by a friend, and it works great. And the 2TB is plenty of space :D

Video Card

What can I say? It's one of the top GPUs on the market and it looks stylish. This is hands-down my favorite part of my build.

I was having trouble deciding on a case for my build. I eventually went with this and I'm glad that I did! It's super quiet, looks stylish/sleek, and has a large window for easy viewing. Highly recommend.

Power Supply

Great PSU. It's quiet, partly modular, and came with the needed wires. What else can I say?

Optical Drive

Bought it to install Windows 8.1 and some drivers. Works well for the price.

Operating System

It's Windows...

Screen size was perfect for my desk and the colors are great.

Took about a week to get adjusted to the keys and noise, but it's awesome once you are adjusted to it. The RGB customization with Razer Synapse is so versatile. Highly recommend.

Not at all, although that may be my case's padding on the inside absorbing the sound.
