This is my first build ever :D took a little while to figure out everything.
was looking at the same cpu cooler and motherboard. Did you run into any clearance issues with your memory, as in would you be able to use all 4 sockets with the ram you chose?
Such a good build! Why didn't you go with rgb ram tho
would probably be blocked by the cooler
My idea wasn't to go full RGB. and yeah they will also be blocked by the CPU cooler.
Not sure about your place of residence, but you could have spent extra on a 9700k/9900k plus a Noctua d15, and you woudn't have to buy thermal paste. Again, pricing may be different where you live, but I would still be happy if I built a powerhouse like that. Good job! :)
I prefer 8086k over 9700K it's better cooled and easier to overclock plus they are about the same out of the box. The 9900K would be an overkill for my needs.
Thanks you !!
Never seen an i7 8086K before. How's that working for you? And as another said, 9th gen could have been an option, but based on budget, you may have to get what you can. Regardless, nice build, and good job not destroying a component first build.
Working just great and cool. It's just the same thing as the i7 8700k but with a slightly faster core clocks. It's better suited for overclocking.
cmon no rgb ram!?
My idea wasn't to go full RGB. so these will do.
Hey, if you look at my build, I'm trying to put the dark rock pro 4 on the mpg gaming carbon ac with corsair vengeance RGB ram.
The vengeance RGB ram is the same height as your ripjaws V ram. How did the ram clearance work with your ram and CPU cooler? Can you put the ram in the first and/or second slot? Did you have to move the front cooler fan up? Is it a tight fit?
Please let me know, I'm gonna buy my build soon
