Hey everyone. Thought id share with you all what iv been doing. Iv been wanted to build my own computer for years but never really had the money. it always needed to go on something else kinda more important. Thats life i guess lol. So anyway back in January i said enough is enough im gonna start, My old computer at the time i had had since 2012 and was a display model from a shop so it wasnt exacty brand new at the time anyway. Bought for me by a girlfriend at the time. Anyway.. 4 years on and it was really showing its time.. I couldnt hardly play any games on it, all i played on it at the time was GTA San andreas for which i run a multiplayer server for & TF2 anything else i was really interested in was unplayable. I did coding for my game server too and the rendering time on 30k lines was getting bad aswell.
So anyway. In January i started. I was going to do it payday by payday.. Started with the motherboard and the ram & then the PSU.. but sadly had to stop. Money was so tight i didnt wanner spend any i didnt need too. At the same time i was also in the planning stages of moving etc..
Now October and i was all settled in and had the money i needed to set my self up in my new place & to finish off the build. So thats my story and i hope you enjoy the pictures.. (I also included my old computer at the end of the pictures)
Edit: I did also forget to mention although you may of noticed.. I spray painted the white plates & hard drive shelf things (Im bad with names) to red to suit the build.. Done this months ago when i was bored so forgot to mention it at the start. :)
Nothing much i can say about it that is not already said else where. Decent CPU. Does what i need it to do. Will prob upgrade sometime in the future to Zen if its worth it.
I love it.. For months i was always going to go with a AIO cooler but part of me just had doubts because my computer is on for a very long time and sometimes all night. Think my record is like 6 weeks and i just didn't want something to end in a failure. So i went a little safer with a nice air cooler and i don't regret it. It does what i need it to do and i don't plan on overclocking anytime soon. so its great and performs well at its intended job.
Great motherboard. First thing i bought for my build so it kinda decided the colour scheme for it from the beginning.
Ram is ram. It works. and works well.
Amazing. Never used a SSD in my own computer before and bought this just for windows and i gotta say "wow" Boots up amazingly fast.
I originally was going to go for a GTX 970 but if course i heard about the 3.5ghz thing etc etc.. and decided on going with AMD. Originally was going to go for a 390 or 390x But saw this and kinda fell in love with it. Fans look awesome. Only thing i'm kinda weird about is the upside down logo. I dunno if its a mistake or not but i don't care. Its great looking and acts like a beast.
yes i could of gone with a 1060 but when you fall in love with something you just gotta go with your heart.
