Description

This was my first build, the case was quite tight to build in given it's size and the fact I was new to building, I spent a long time reading though the manuals to make sure I has everything right, I then went to get it all setup with my new monitor and it turns out I didn't have my ram in properly. After putting in my ram and getting windows working and installed I got to downloading all my software and games. playing DOOM on this lil beast is so fun and I enjoy it a lot, with CS:GO and COD BO3 (BO4 soon) :D. The SSD speeds are good and the hybrid drive was low when I moved 1TB of files onto it off my portable drive :P.

Part Reviews

CPU

A really good CPU with amazing graphics, having only using mobile Intel CPUs with iGPUs this is an amazing upgrade for me, though I may later get a gpu as I wont require to sell one :D

Motherboard

This motherboard was good for me, It does everything I've needed and works fine, I paid for the BIOS to be updated and for not having to deal with the hassle of returning a first gen CPU and needing other stuff I got it done for me.

Memory

Good ram, fast speeds what more do I need to say?

Storage

After having being spoilt by the Macbook pro 2016 boot times it seemed a little slower but hardly noticeable in real use - though this is double the size which I prefer over the speeds for me-.

Storage

a lil slow to do large files to but it does everything I need

Case

Ever since I saw this case I wanted to build in it, I was even considering doing a eGPU setup with a i7 7700 but waited, the build quality is amazing.

Operating System

Eh, windows, works fine :D

Monitor

My first personal monitor, good size, 1080p is good and it's perfect for me currently, mounting is good if I want to in the future :D

Keyboard

Had this keyboard for a year or two now, been fine to use, not that loud and the light are good - hasn't broken on me unlike the mouse from Razer have for me. Only wish I had gone TKL for portability.

Mouse

Had this one for about 10 months now, been a really good mouse and I can't use anything else, it feels perfect for me.

Headphones

Had the QC25 headphones for two years, amazing headphones, love them, (couldn't find the QC25s on the list? :/) (if you are looking into the QC 35s or QC 35 II they should only be better)

what are your temps? after I put on the front panel I could hear my stock cooler a lot more... maybe you need a Noctua AM4 low profile cooler? or u can mod the cooler to support the AMD heatsink which may help a massive amount (I know people did this with the C7 in the Node 202)

Where did you get the case? I used these for a year for all my business PC builds and can't find them anywhere anymore. I'm located in the US

yeah they don't seem to be in US that much, only in Australia/NZ and a few other places, maybe too old or little buyers?

I just ordered one today from MicroCenter, after spending over an hour looking for US sellers. They listed just two left in the company, so there may very well only be one In Win Chopin left in the US (from anyone big enough to have an online store). $90 (plus like $15 for shipping) isn’t cheap, but I wanted this case, and the window for getting one may be closing!

I’m just asking but does this even run Minecraft?

I get 200+ fps in basic worlds, in advanced busy worlds I obviously get less but still good, I use shaders get a solid 60+ most of the time (apart from TnT etc).

Looks great! I have a similar one. Cable management was a bit rough but it’s an awesome looking and sized case. How are mosfets/chipset temps on your motherboard? Mine are pretty toasty when overclocked.

Quick question, I am looking at doing my first build as a casual, compact gaming rig in this case (using a Ryzen 5 2400g rather than a discrete GPU, partly for cost reasons). Given that the built-in PSU is only a 150W PSU, have you had any issues with power consumption? Is 150W enough to run the CPU, iGPU, CPU fan, both drives, the keyboard and the mouse comfortably? Was there much capacity left over for other things (e.g. phone charging)? Just interested to know. If the power supply was not sufficient, is it possible to upgrade it and retain the form factor? What form factor is the built-in PSU? Thanks!

you have to take off the shorud surrounding the fan, it's near the clips that hold the fan in place, just push it out and it clicks, do it for them all and it fits with room in the case :D, don't waste money on a aftermarket unless you really want :P
