*Still trying to figure out how to make it portable like my first attempt.*
This is my second attempt SEE my first: Here The only difference here is the case, the Corsair Air 240.
The Pictures The first 4 pictures are this build, the rest are the after math of my First Attempt
One early morning I made it my mission to try once again to fit the 1060 xtreme GPU into the Core v1 case, about an hour and half I accepted that I will probably have to get a different case (I got it for good price so its not a big deal) and I whatever it took to make it happen. I was just too angry and stubborn, though I did managed to fit it inside the tiny case but the side panel doesn't even close anymore. I have add some pictures of this.
My wife and I painted the air 240 and added new led strips.
With this new case I was able to Overclock the CPU to 4.6ghz (24%), the tiny cooler is my limit here, though I dont think will overclock much more than that.
The Corsair Air 240 is just a great small case, wow should have went with this is case from the beginning! There is a lot of room this case. The GPU fits with room to spare.
I always get the led version of the cougar fans, they work so well but so quite and these Cougar Vortex are no exception.
Even though its just a 1060 IT IS HUGE.. Managed to OC the core to 2138MHZ and mem to 2349MHZ (Number s are coming from GPUz). Great card for sure, the fan where at 75% when I was OCing it and max Temps was at 55c only. I have added a picture with my initial overclocking.
