The Charlotte

by Steale

My entry into PC building comes in the form of this sturdy beauty. I pretty much played it by ear while building this and i am beyond pleased so far. Before long i plan to add some hard drive space as well as upgrade the cpu cooler and maybe swap out the fans to get a little RGB action. Let me know what you all think!! Update Added pretty lights and replaced the CPU cooler.

Part Reviews

Doing its job just fine w/ no problemos. solid CPU with enough power to get you by.

CPU Cooler

I can't praise this cooler enough. It looks damn good and keeps my CPU VERY cool. haven't seen my CPU go much higher than 55 degrees under stress. Nice and quiet too.

This RAM does its job plain and simple, no problems. It looks a little cheesy but not horrible

Great budget SSD Fast boot speeds and no issues.

Video Card

Honest opinion of this GPU...if you want to comfortably play most newer AAA games just get the 6gb version of the 1060. 3gb is an awkward spot for Vram, might as well spend the extra couple bucks for the 6gb version which can handle almost all the newer games.

I am in love with this case. great design, build quality, and airflow. I love the tempered glass door panel that is super easy to open and remove and looks sleek when closed. The case is an incredible price for the quality you're getting.

Power Supply

Plenty of power. Got it for cheap at a local PC store so I can't complain.

Case Fan

Pretty lights. I only use the controller that is included to change the light pattern and color so no real complaints aside from a little pricey but that's RGB for ya.

Steale submitter 1 Build 1 point 16 months ago

Noob question here, but the gpu cable from the power supply or case? Looks so clean

i'm sorry but why did you get an sli motherboard with no sli? just buying another gtx 1060 wouldnt even work cause it isn't sli compatible. also are you planning on upgrading your cpu cause you got an overclockable mobo with a locked processor? anyways i like the cable management.

Steale submitter 1 Build 2 points 16 months ago

Lmao all good points. I got the SLI because it was an open box model for 98 bucks so i figured why not? I learned as I went on and bought my CPU first, thinking i wouldn't be overclocking. I definitely regret not just going with the 7600k now though

i wish i knew where all of you lucky ***** lived :P its like every second build has some wierd part and its just because they apparently live beside a big store that sells stuff for dirt cheap and here is poor ol me stuck in a middle of rural ireland buying everything at msrp :C.

VenusFTW 1 point 16 months ago

I wouldn't go for the 7600k since coffeelake just came out. The i3 8350k is even better and cheaper, it's just new.
