Description

Started out as a HTPC and turned into something else. I had been thinking about building a pc and a few friends at work game on their pc. One of them said he had some parts left over from his pro gaming days and a few months later. POW! One thing led to another and here we are. Got most of my stuff on sale. It has taken me about a year to get to where i am now. Buying parts when i get a little OT or have a little extra to spend. And Devastator was born. I game a little but it will be used mostly for editing and streaming.

-CPU: Ryzen7 2700X

-CPU Cooler: Thermaltake 3.0 360mm AIO : Dont really have any complaints it works for what i have.

-Motherboard: MSI Gaming Pro Carbon: Love this board got it for less than half what it cost

-Memory: G Skill Trident Z RGB 16gb x2: Beautiful ram

-Storage: WD Blue 1tb: really nice hdd got it on sale on BF was a really nice addition to the 250gb WD Blue ssd i have.

-GPU: GTX 1080 FE , Traded to get this was nice upgrade from the 290x i was using.

-Case: TT X71 TG : Love this case plenty of room air flow and cable management this thing is huge

-PSU- Thermaltake Smart Pro RGB 850w : Its kool

-Case Fans- Corsair HD120 RGB: LOVE these they look awesome

-OS: Windows 10 64 Bit : Works well

I'm so confused.

The build is named Devastator, and features vinyl quotes by Barricade and Megatron wallpaper on your monitor. Those are all seemingly Michael Bay movie version references. Ok, I get that.

But the choice of color in your AIO hose wraps and PSU cables tells me that you are in fact familiar with the original and ONLY Devastator.

The dichotomy of this is something that I find difficult to reconcile.

Once I get past this, it actually is a very nice build.

+1

Once again.

THIS is NOT Devastator.

THIS is Devastator.

The quotes are just something i saw when looking for something else and just added it to the build and there is not exactly alot of Devastator stuff out there. And as far as the wallpaper i had set to show Decipticons wallpapers in shuffle mode just so happen that one was up when taking the photos. Appreciate the love tho. when i find more stuff i will be a little more true to the Devastator theme.

https://youtu.be/LIvTMclqpGY I got the idea from this video. there are a few others on youtube also. I purchased some acrylic on Amazon and ordered the screen from Amazon. they have 3" 5" & 7" screens, I have the 5" screen in my setup. I also ordered a flat HDMI cable and usb extension cable.
