Woot, first actually ******* good gaming PC!
Best computer I've ever had in my life and it still isn't done yet.
Everything marked 0 bucks are stuff I've gotten for free. I am borrowing the i3 from an IRL friend.
I am borrowing the monitor from my school, I am planning on buying the exact same one from eBay when I can, it's an amazing monitor!
The GTX 670, yes I really did get it for 10 dollars. I made a post on /r/hardwareswap asking for a card for 40 bucks. I was then PMd about a GTX 670, so I went through with the deal and nearly **** myself when he offered 10 dollars and insisted on it in person when we meeted. The card works flawlessly and is silent. The PCB was blue, but I painted it black to match the aesthetic I'm aiming for. I do have it undervolted and underclocked a bit to help with temps, and it's still damn good!
My list of upgrades are in this list here:
Great old Sandy Bridge processor! If you're wanting to do some light - medium gaming, even dabbling in some AAA titles, this processor is pretty capable!
It's pretty good for the price. It is compatible with 775, and all 115x processors, despite what literally everywhere states. The box directly states the compatibility as 115x/775.
Downside is the fan is a sleeve bearing, so anywhere past 1200rpm, it's audible, even with the side panel on. It's the loudest part of my system, seconded to my PSU. Oh also the sticker fell off randomly, most likely from the heat, lmfao. Not a con, just funny.
If you want a better-than stock fan for a locked CPU and don't care too much about sound, this is a great cooler for the price. If your case is choked for air and has a large and hot card though and you don't like sound, I'd look elsewhere.
Damn great budget 1155 motherboard!
I got this for 46.99 on eBay with the IO shield. (which is beautiful, thick, and uses vinyl) It supports both Sandy and Ivy Bridge, which you can overclock the unlocked ones! (I'm serious.) It has 2 system fan headers which though are 3 pin, the motherboard allows you to control the fan speed anyways! 6 USB ports with 2 3.0 ones, no header though. VGA / HDMI / DVI for integrated, PS2 combo jack, and pretty damn good audio setup too! Looks modern too.
Hugely hugely HUGELY recommend this board!
I have Klevv sticks which are literally identical to these.
Great, basic, black, 8GB sticks. 10/10 Would reccommend.
I got this SSD from a friend for free, and it's my first ever SSD!
Great SSD, fast and other SSD stuff.
Came out of a broken laptop from my friend, which he gave me the drive since I've needed one.
It's silent, can't hear it even with my ear on the thing. Good drive.
I literally got this card for $10 bucks.
Amazing card, great for 900p and 1080p gaming. It's pretty much silent under 75c, especially with a custom fan curve. Great card, can be ran on a 450w power supply!
Pretty good budget case.
It has a m a z i n g cable management for the price. Plenty of space behind the side panel, cutouts next to the motherboard, giant cutout near the front, cpu power cutout, everything you'd need. Comes with 2 fans with the 120mm having both 3pin and molex, and room for 3 3.25" drives (one ontop of / inside 5.25" bay) and 1 2.5" drive (more if you can hide them somewhere.)
Downsides. - Completely choked front intake, next to no air at all. - Snap off PCIe brackets except for one, but it's cheap so eh whatever. - You need to dremel off the side HDD bracket if you want to use a video card larger than 8 inches and PCIe slot wide.
Otherwise though, on a budget for a small low power system, GET THIS! You can cable manage freaking OEM power supplies in this case, lol!
I'm no expert but I think this is a good unit. Semi-modular with black ribbon cables, 8pin cpu and 2 6+2 pin gpu plugs, along with a lot of sata and 3 molex + hdd plugs.
Knocked off one star for the fan, my good lord is it loud! I'm replacing the fan asap, can't stand it since it's louder than my sleeve bearing CPU fan at 2000rpm.
Not exact to what I have but it's a basic drive, quiet for one too.
Wireless Network Adapter
It's alright. If you plan on downloading files larger than 2GB on WiFi faster than 5Mbp/s, look elsewhere. This card overheats easy.
Oddly great monitor! Can be found cheap enough, has support for the Dell AX510 speaker bar, has DVI and VGA input, great color and menu system too! I could swear this is a IPS matte screen, even though it's only TFT!
BASIC. That's all I gotta say.
Budget headphone king! Microphone with quality as good as a Blue Snowball, (pm me for a sound file to prove quality) and good cans if you have a software based equalizer. Stock, the sounds are muddy as hell. Tuned though, it's great.
Great, boomy speakers.
Plastic is painted and is grippy in a bad way. Side buttons are flipped (top is back arrow instead of bottom being that), clickers are mushy and different from eachother.
I only have this since my friend gave it to me.
