Description

Hi guys,

This is my first built computer. I like black and white so I made it into a black and white theme. This computer is called Cold Zero, just to sound cool and match the appearance. I have great inspirations and excitement when I saw the completed guides on this website. Love all of your work. So here is my guide. I managed to keep the built to less than $500 because some of the parts were used. Funny thing is that I faced many difficulties, and it turned out that the new component that I bought was the main problem. I did manage to get a replacement and everything was finally running smoothly. Hope you guys like it and feel free to comment on it. I would love to hear what others have to say my computer.

I don't know how to update the price on the completed list. The power supply was a gift. That's why the toal price is less than 500.

A great computer and an amazing first build. Even more so for under 500$.

What component did you have to return?

Would be interesting to know the prices paid and you pulled off the theme very nicely.

Good finds and that explains the good power supply. Did you get the parts from eBay mostly? Hardwareswap on reddit is good too.

eBay was the main source for the components. Thanks for telling me about hardwareswap. Will give it a try.

although i think that the psu is overkill and that hdd should be 7200rpm for faster performance. overall is okay for me.

That's a really cool idea. Right now I am planning to build a computer with black and white theme. Possibly in the future. Thanks for the idea.

Just asking Because Im gona to do it XD .White S340 , black whit red color motherboard , black ram , 2 red LED fans and now I just have to plan which GPU msi gtx1060 gaming X 6G (black whit red and some red LED) or gtx 1060 armor OC 6G (black whit white color) ? What u think ?:D

I would go with the black and red Msi 1060. Having red on the motherboard and on the fans doesn't seem to be enough. I've never used a led fan before. Based on what I saw on YouTube, some led fans can light up the case and some cannot. If you want to light up the case, I suggest t go with led strip. Nzxt hue+ has great reviews and the color can be changed because it's rgb. This is on the pricey side for led strip. If you know for sure what color you want, like red (which is the color I would recommend), try bitfenix magnetic led strip. It's about $12 on eBay. It's only about 4 in long but enough to light up the case I used the white one for my case. For the fan, I think it would be super cool if you can use the corsair sp120 quiet edition with two of the white ring fan and two red ring fans These are just some tips for your build. You can choose what tips you want to follow or what kind of budgeted parts you want to buy. Good luck on your build and please post it so I can see yours.

I swear the FX-4300 gets too much hate as a great budget processor for 50 euros/dollars with the cooler. Nice build mate.

Did you have to do a BIOS update to use the cpu? Or did it work out of the box? Anyway great build and really liking the color scheme. +1 from me :)

This works for the cpu when it's out of the box. Except the usb wifi doesn't work so well with this motherboard. It keeps disconnecting.

Her powersupply and GPU alone cost ~500$. Not everyone is going for price/performance.

Edit: Nevermind, saw what you were referring to in the description.
