Description

Last revision of my Coconut Lime and the last optical and visible technical updates before going to version 3.1 by adding an i7 4790k.

I upgraded from Corsair Hydro H75 to a H105 in combination with Noctua NF-F12 IPPC-3000 in combination with Noctua chromax.white.
In the process of doing so i also decided to adjust my custom paintings.
I went with a white CPU cooler accent ring, green mounting bracket with white screws, alternating green and white screws on the card expansion slots and a white GPU backplate.
I installed a low RPM BeQuiet Shadow Wings 120mm as exhaust fan in the back, where the H75 was before, as well as another one as intake in the bottom for additional air supply straight to the GPU.
Last but not least the build got lit wit a multicolor LED stripe.

As i said in the description of version 2.2, i planned on adding another GTX 980, but i struggle with the downsides of SLI systems. Guess i'll be waiting for Pascal and decide then, wether to go next gen or to profite from another price drop on used 980s. I'd like to hear your comments on this...

Love the build, but why the Pi in your computer? Pi attracts all sorts of bugs! +1

Amazing build. The GPU really stands out. The cable management is just amazing and the colour combination is great too. You should submit your setup to Tech Source for setup or pc wars.

I'm liking that gpu mod, very well done with nice contrast between the white and green.

Otherwise, nice clean build. +1

Well, I only did that because the blue didn't go with the rest of the build and I was just like "**** it, I'll just do the while thing." :)

You should do a custom loop next. White fittings with a green coolant would be beautiful

Althought i'd really love to do a full loop build one day, it won't happen with this build. This one is what is it.

This here is pretty much what i bought. Then i cut myself a 4 pin SATA power plug with ~3 inches of wires from an unused cable and connected it to one of those, plugged it into the control box and connected it to a free 15 pin SATA port via adapter.

I'd like to see some numbers on that! As far as i'm concerned, it got a heathly amount of 16 GB of common 1600MHz Ram with a latency of 9 (!).
