Description

Project E.C.L.I.P.S.E. (Expensive Crap Loading Intense Pixelated Shooter Experiences) is the name I have deemed worthy for the hunk of plastic, glass, steel, and silicon that is my first custom PC build. Even though the pictures don't do it justice, the custom paint job I did is terrible and I will probably be re-painting those parts when it warms up again. This is my second time uploading this and I would like to apologize for those who suffered permanent eye damage do to the horrid pictures, lazy reviews, and poor cable management. All jokes aside I really had fun and enjoyed this PC and hope that you did too. I will be adding on to it over time but there are a few things I want to fix soon like getting an SSD cover so I can turn it the other way for a cleaner look, and getting more cable combs since the kit didn't come with enough. If you have any tips or corrections let me know down below. TLDR: I messed up, I cleaned up, I saved the world!!!

Hey, check out this huge unrelated cooler!!!

Part Reviews

CPU

Nice processor, Easy to overclock, and is all you need for gaming!

CPU Cooler

It's a great cooler, Very quiet, allowing me to overclock my 6600k to 4.6!

Motherboard

Its one of the few motherboards that are white and black, that's what made me choose it.

Memory

Pretty, white, it's RAM, I don't know... really can't say much more.

Storage

Realy ugly but fast for the price I got it for.

Video Card

Stays cool, its black and white, and is very quiet. The one downside is how long it is.

Case

Great case for those who don't like to do much work and like great outcomes. Even makes my crappy paint job look good!!!

Power Supply

It's very quiet and goes on sale every once in a while.

Wireless Network Adapter

Not the best but works for the price, the connection does drop sometimes.

Case Fan

If you need a white, quiet, and high-grade fan but are on a budget, these are for you.

Case Fan

If you need a white, quiet, and high-grade fan but are on a budget, these are for you.

Monitor

Allows me to "nosc" all my enemies while blindfolded and with both arms tied behind my back!!!

Mouse

Input person praising mouse here

Headphones

I don't know why I bought these, but I did, and there is no going back

Custom

"Those are some pretty sexy cables..."- My mom. I wish these had more cable combs!!!

Custom

I could have gotten a better keyboard but you live and learn, I wish I had gone with the blue switches.

What exactly did you paint? It doesn't look too bad. +1.

Basically any part of the case that is white. The pictures don't pick it up since its a dinky camera

Oh.

Then why not just get an all-black S340 Elite? Or am I missing something?

Basically, I got the all black s340 elite and wanted to add some white accents so, I painted all the parts I could take off by just removing screws.

Isn't that bad for the headphone frame, though? Picture 7

I don't know if I would go that far but I would say it's pretty mildly adequate.

Instead of painting your SSD, may I recommend just using a heat gun (carefully) to simply peel off the front label? I have a Samsung 850 Pro mounted up front and it looks super-clean

Oh I know I could do that but I think I'll probably buy a cover for it, they look nice and aren't too expensive.

is that cpu temp after a stress test or just max during gaming?

  • 1 point

That's roughly what it is under full load, the most I've seen it go up to (during a stress test) was 64C which I'm ok with.

Hey also, do you know what spray paint you got. If so, could you please link me because I would love to do this with my upcoming build.

I forget now but I wouldn't get it if I were you. While it looks good in the photos It doesn't In real life. It orange pilled very badly and was a pain overall.
