Built this rig back in 2018, but didn't feel as though it was really ready to post. After build, have upgraded from an IKEA Linnmon tabletop to an Uplift Desk (I absolutely love this thing), got 3 more monitors (The bottom 3, I have always been in the UWMR [Ultra-wide Master Race]), and some of the peripherals. I'll include a detailed explanation for the majority of the parts below.
Personally, was considering going with a de-lidded 8086k at first for about the same price, however upon release, I knew I had to have it. Did have a minor instance with my first one, in which non-overclocked at idle it was running at ~50c. Quickly noticed the issue and was able to exchange at Microcenter for a new one. New CPU now happily runs at 5.1 ghz and 30c @ idle :)
Maximus XI Hero
Had very good success with Asus motherboards as I had one in my first rig. Was considering going for the formula, however since I did hard line tubing I figured it would not be enjoyable to bend. The Maximus XI hero is a great motherboard, incidentally recommend it, however was disappointed when I found out their VRM Phasing was only 4 phase in Buildzoid's PCB breakdown
Corsair RGB Pro Ram
More GB than I could have ever needed, but damn it looks pretty. Also went with 2 packs of the 16gb kit due to it being cheaper at the time of purchase
EVGA 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra
Been a long time user of EVGA Graphics cards. Amazing card, ridiculous power, and awesome thermals! Card doesn't go above 55c on water and sustains a stable clock of +150 on the core and +1000 on the memory (Haven't tested any higher yet however). Hard to actually pull the trigger to purchase this due to its massive price, but 'm very happy with its 1440p performance it gives me.
Corsair Obsidian 500D RGB
Was eyeing this case for a while, but knew it was massively expensive for a case so kinda left it for a while. Came back to it and was convinced it was worth it as I was planning on getting a 3 pack of the LL120 fans and the commander pro for this build already, and if you take out the price of those products (which are included in the case) it makes the case only about 80$. Lots of tempered glass and beautiful design. Very aesthetically pleasing.
Had to purchase the EVGA Hydrocopper block as it was the only one that fit that the GPU. Bitspower fittings due to that sexy black sparkle finish, with everything else EK. Happy with all bends and how it came out. Also using Cryofuel solution for cooling
Hefty price tag, but amazing quality, finish, durability, and warranty.
Also using an E-win gaming chair (Not mentioned in part list or pictured)
Let me know what you guys think! Took a lot of time, but finally it felt complete :D
