Build

First Ryzen Build (Bessie)

by tbjprojects

Description

P3 case is pretty awesome i must say. i had to replace the 2 fans on the bottom and top of cabinet with be quite due to noise other than that the build all seems to be running fine. iv played a few games and the PC it self has passed all so far.

i build the whole thing from scratch including the entertainment unit. the PC cabinet has 4 120mm be quite fans. 2 in the base for intake and 2 in the top for out take. iv had to integrate wiring for power and reset with silver buttons located on the back of the cabinets top. The LED strip lights are controlled by a touch sensor on left hand side of the actual top above the computer there is a wiring and power plug compartment housed in the back with lift up lid.

A special shout out to Bennyc911 for helping me on the build.

+1 for fooling me into thinking you built it straight into the TV shelf! That is a clean build, and love the well deserved center of attention!

TacoNinja 2 Builds 6 points 13 months ago

Correct me if I'm wrong, did you mount the case without the glass and cover the shelf section with a completely different glass panel?

tbjprojects submitter 1 Build 10 points 13 months ago

Yup that is correct.

Aelar_Nailo 10 points 13 months ago

ajaxguy 2 points 13 months ago

would use 200+ mm fans on the cabinet because they're quiet and have tons of airflow at low rpm's

look into the noctua 200mm fan

+feature

Hey tbjprojects, i have a question on your led strip in your case Since i have similar pc build recently, only got Hall of Frame led on gpu fan. So, what kind of led strip that you use for the build? It is not too much fancy "rgb" but bring peaceful atmosphere for the case

tbjprojects submitter 1 Build 2 points 13 months ago

hi Jo_Jolion im a furniture builder so i got the LED form a building supplier please see link below for the LED i used and the touch switch. i also put a link how the touch switch works.

Gorgeous integration.

kuiama2015 1 point 13 months ago

Nice Job. Love the way it looks and how functional the stand is and yet shows off the computer without out being over bearing. If I might ask. How much did you spend on materials for the cabinet?

killingjoke26 1 point 13 months ago

This is awesome and creative. Thanks for sharing and inspiring. I have a living room setup and am looking for ways to implement my PC with the home entertainment center.

DubiousDeeds 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Very cool, totally digging it.

Tomasn 1 point 13 months ago

Very nice clean build. Good job.

However I would find the LED lighting very disturbing under the LCD when watching movies.

It's the kind of build I'd like my friend to have, rather than myself for everyday use :)

westwandaguys 1 point 13 months ago

Nice!

A custom loop would look amazing

kevin105008 1 point 13 months ago

Radox-0 5 Builds 1 point 13 months ago

Damm, that is pretty spectacular. amazing and creative work here. Easy +1

NobleSavage 1 point 13 months ago

This concept would have worked much better with matte black cabinets and smart glass (opaque matte black to completely transparent) covering the rigs cavity. This way you could hide the build or showcase it depending upon the situation or your mood.

Dual control of the RGB's and the glass panels opacity would enable more control over how much it stands out, as it is now the PC distracts far too much from the screen, personally when playing I'd want the rig to be barely visible.

Your cabinet idea is a great one, but the concept could be taken much further forwards. Next time think about that.

tbjprojects submitter 1 Build 1 point 13 months ago

Thanks for the advice iv sold this now so i get to have another go probably try some thing different again. smart glass wouldn't work with stand off brackets tho it creates shadows in the glass. ill use the touch switch for the LED light again as it can be controlled (on,off and dim) though google home.

Zeromus725 1 point 8 months ago

300th upvote. :)

ReddyXD 1 point 8 months ago

+1 Awesome idea fits in seamlessly I plan on doing something like this, just wondering how thick the backboard of the cabinet was in order for the mount to attach?

tpapi2 0 points 12 months ago

Looks great! I'm new to this, just made a part list. Looking for opinions. Any feedback is welcome please. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XZWZgL

WallabeAttack 1 point 12 months ago

Looks good, Im going to recommend a couple things though. Your Ram is decently priced but you could do better Team Dark has the lowest priced 16gb red/black Ram on the market at the moment. Also your cpu i love ryzen but your cpu is to good for that gpu its fine to use but if your strictly gaming go with ryzen 3 120o or ryzen 5 1400 but if its anything other than only gaming go with ryzen 5 1600 instead of 1600X. Lastly add an ssd with all the small corners cut you can definitely buy a ssd. SSD's just make chrome and games load faster and feel snappier.
