Description

This was my second build and i was hoping for å bit more quiet and good looking build. I managed the last part. Because of the amuminium frame the air makes a whining noice when gettin pulled through by the stock fans, still, it packed great performance and awesome looks. It is the most easy case i have ever buildt in. And i would defenatly watercool it if needed/having a budget for it. Everything is made for that possebility. If i would change anything in this build it would be the fans, and try to avoid a HDD and go only SSD, the Aluminium chassi is not forgiving to vibrations. But then again, it looks awesome!!!

I find the case fans have to be running really aggressively before you get the noise you mention and I believe it to be the fault of the 200m pulling air around the front panel rather than through it. I think two 140m spinning slower might be better in this case but I'm happy with the big boy running very slow.

I only have an ssd in mine but you could suspend an hdd is the rear hdd cage.

Nowhere does it say $600. So next time. Think before you speak.

Can I just add that $600 seems a little TOO much for a 780 at this point? A 980 or 390X would have been a much better decision...

i figured that the price listed is just the best price you can find on the internet, but since that card is almost discontinued it costs a fortune new, and i dobut that he paid 600 usd for it.

Why did you choose the 4690k with an h97 mobo rather than the z97 for superior overclocking?

Don't all Asus H boards allow a bit of overclocking now??

Yeah, I did overstep my original comment a tad and have re-phrased accordingly.

Because i dont want to overclock builds i sell, and there is no request for overclocked builds in Norway :)

If your having whine issues with the stock fans, you might get them replaced from the manufacture. Otherwise, from my experience, be quiet fans work very well.

Yeah, i have sold it now, it said when selling it that i did not like the sound of it but he had a headset so he did not care :)

Did new fans fix the problem? Really concerned it won't be quite since it doesn't have sound dampening, not sure if i wanna get a Fractal Define R5 instead.

The Kepler series is really hot and loud. At least my 780 keeps my room warm.

some h97s can overclock with a new bios update. no way id spend $82 on that cooler. He couldve got a h60 AIO for $60 and still would have ran cooler.
