Description
This is my Gaming/Development build that I thought I'd share. The red, white, and blue theme in the C70 case paired with it's conception date of July 4th('murica) earned it it's nickname. I'm extremely happy with how this build turned out though naturally I'd change a few things given the opportunity(surprise, surprise).
First, the elephant in the room. I would definitely have been more patient and bought a 1070 over the 980ti. I literally bought that guy the day before they were announced(it's been sitting around a little while). In my defense, it was a huge deal for what it was priced at at the time, so I am very thrilled about that.
I might have also gone with a watercooling option(and probably still will). While I don't necessarily think it's vital for me, man does a watercooler look a lot cleaner than the 212 Plus.
I would have also went ahead and got a larger PSU. This one works for me now but if I decide down the road to SLI, I'm going to be up buying a 850 Watt minimum.
All and all though, this build is a freaking beast and I could not be happier with it(save the things noted above). Even so, the 980ti is a beast so I have nowhere to complain. Let me know what you think!
Part Reviews
CPU Cooler
It will take up a massive amount of space which is my only concern.
Motherboard
Super easy BIOS and looks great. Plenty of room for expansion too.
Storage
What a monster. I can't wait to pick up a few more
Storage
Awesome hard drive. I'd definitely go for an SSD if you can throw it but for storage, this is great.
Video Card
Not a single complaint. This thing is a monster, the OC might be a little lackluster but it still runs almost every game I've tried at max settings. Not to mention I got it for stupid cheap.
Case
Extremely practical case. My only complaint is the window having the fan mounts which I don't use. You can replace that for like 20 bucks to get a clear one though so not enough to lose it a star.
Power Supply
I'm not going to be able to say anything that hasn't already been said. Solid purchase.
Optical Drive
I can say with confidence that this installed windows like a champ. Not sure how much more I'll use it.
Case Fan
Awesome fans, fairly quite, adjustable speed, very bright.

Fan Controller
Awesome tool. Love the minimal design feature as well.
Monitor
What a beautiful monitor. And with the new wave of monitors coming out, you can probably snag one for cheap.
Keyboard
clicking and clacking intensifies This thing is freaking loud because of the blues but I love it.
Mouse
So this thing is an awesome little mouse that works great. I have a few complaints though. For one, I don't like how light it is. Now if you're gonna use it for a laptop mouse that's nice and portable, it's a champ but I'd get a heavier one for a desktop.
I also dislike the light selection being so small.
Now all of these are small compared to this, I had this mouse for 6 months using it for gaming and it already gives me issues with clicking. Clicks won't register, while dragging it will stop, etc.
I'd spend the extra 20 bucks for a quality mouse but if you don't want to, then grab this.
