Greetings fellow PC building enthusiasts!
It's time for another used parts build! I purchased all of these parts used online through eBay/Craigslist/Reddit with the exception of the case fans, CPU cooler and Windows license. I'm finally dwindling down my collection of used parts that are cluttering up my closet, only a few more builds to go and I should have it all cleared out lol
Initially, I was worried that the FX-8320 would be a significant bottleneck but it pairs really well with the GTX 670! I'm happy with the overclock I was able to get on the CPU as well, it definitely helps out even though I kept the GPU speeds stock. The 16GB of DRAM isn't really necessary but for the XSplit and OBS streaming tests I ran it helped out with the extra applications, Google Chrome tabs, etc. that I had running.
The Corsair case was a real score, there was a student at Sonoma State that recently upgraded his rig and was selling it for cheap! The Rosewill PSU was a crazy good deal (on Reddit hardwareswap) for an 80+ Platinum rated unit, semi-modular too!
Performance wise it does really well, slightly better than my last build (a week or two ago) that had a Quad Core 860K + R9 280X. It runs most modern games (I tested Doom, Overwatch, Dark Souls 3, League of Legends and Fallout 4) at well over 60 FPS in High settings in 1080p. I'm pretty happy with the performance and I'm selling it locally to someone that is interested in breaking into the PC Gaming world on the cheap.
Thanks for looking and sorry for the brief description, feel free to speak up if you have any questions or comments! -Brandon
