+ Total (United States):
This is my 1440p gaming beast, I've dreamed of building a gaming PC of this caliber for many years and this last year I was finally in a place financially that allowed me to make it a reality. And it is almost complete, yes it a completed built PC, but the dream goes a little further.
I've always really wanted a true enthusiast PC, this includes high performance and maximum attention to appearance as well. So I knew from the beginning this meant also building a modded case with a theme. So now that I have completed the actual build aside from needing two large capacity SSDs, so now I am going to move on to customizing it's appearance.
Nvidia green, purple and black where chosen as the color scheme for this build. And the final theme for the build will be Republic of Gamers as the forefront and nods to Nvidia and Ryzen. The mass majority of build is ROG components and Aura Sync compatible components.
Once I get into modding the case I will post more pics to show the finished vision. Also I should note that I have intention of building a custom loop in the coming year using EKWB components. This loop with cool both CPU and GPU, something I am quite excited to learn, going right for hard line tubing.
This CPU is probably the best bang for you dollar in it's respective price range. On par with the 8700K for 1440p gaming and far more capable at multi-threaded performance (such as twitch streaming) and almost $200 cheaper.
Certainly not a major overclocker, but certainly no slouch either. I am running this chip at 4.2 GHz all core stable @ 1.45V LLC4 which is seeming the max on my particular CPU without either sacrificing stability or going beyond AMDs maximum recommended voltage of 1.45...
This thing is beautiful first of all for an AIO cooler, the RGB effects coupled with ASUS Aura Sync is great. It has a premium quality appearance and is fairly quite under 100% fans, which is to be expected.
It's performance is superb in my opinion for being a mid sized solution. At idle my CPU sits at 30C and below on average, temps while under loads such as gaming and streaming are around 55-60C on average and under max load stress testing they peak at about 71C on average.
Installation was relatively simple for someone who has never built using any form of liquid cooling. Although the included directions are kind of terrible, however the images are enough for someone using common since to understand and use.
The only down side I see to this product is it's price, first you basically paying a premium for ARGB and appearance. So this is why I chose it, it was one of the few compatible with Aura Sync guaranteed, it was important to me to only deal with a single rgb environment and not several different required steps to sync it all together. That being said if you were budget minded there is a regular RGB version of this system for half the price and the same performance.
This a great board for a PC enthusiast looking to build a beast of a gaming rig, but doesn't have the needs for a more expensive board sporting features geared more towards extreme cooling overclocking and competitive bench marking.
It has a fair price for the included features
It has a high quality appearance and feel, especially the built in I/O shield which is a great touch.
The BIOS is a dream, very simple to navigate and use.
Great overclocking ability and features geared towards either AIO or Custom-Loop liquid cooling for the enthusiast
RGB/ARGB features made creating a color theme a breeze
Features two NeMV slots, which is another great touch if one is trying to free their storage for wires
And the two reinforced PCI-E Slots are another great and premium touch
Looks amazing, RBG is superb on this for someone seeks that crazy looking rainbow unicorn turd look.
This is no slouch for non B-Die DDR4 RAM, I currently have this kit dialed in at 3400 MHz 16-17-17-36 1.35V and it is great pairing for this build.
Small premium in price for RGB I'm sure, but nothing overly substantial
Holy blazing speed batman! This thing is on fire, I boot up for windows from start to log in screen in like 9 seconds flat.
Pricey, sure... Worth it? For a boot drive absolutely and I'm sure the larger capacity drive are worth it to someone more in the line of content creation and rendering and such.
Two words, SEXY BEAST!
Looks great, performs better...
I have this thing tuned in at a blistering 2.1 GHz on the core and 11.7 GHz on the VRam and run most every title I've thrown at it at 140 FPS+ in 1440p Ultra settings, the only exception to this so far has be AC: Origins which hits 75 FPS Ultra settings.
Runs cool and quite and now more than before the pricing is great.
Easily one of the best high air flow cases on the market right now, beautiful and a complete dream to build in.
Plenty of support for liquid cooling options, great cable management features and premium build quality. And comes in under $100 and includes a tempered glass panel not just some cheesy plexi panel.
Also includes a nice dust filtration solution on the front and bottom of the case.
This one is highly recommended for an enthusiast build with a slightly more sensible budget as well.
I mean come on, easily one the best on the market today...
Good price, great performance, full modular, gold rated and silent... Also lets not forget that 10 year warranty. Enough said.
Great look, great performance, relatively quite until about 60% speed I'd say and beyond that they can get a bit loud as expected. But I game with headphone so I don't ever hear it. Aura Sync compatible (again, single RGB environment to tackle).
I did NOT spend the price currently listed, they were on sale on Amazon Prime for $9.99, so for the price I paid fairly unbeatable.
Same review as the above fans.
This thing is a true dream for me as a gamer. 1440p resolution, 165hz refresh rate for butter smoothness in game play, 1ms response time and G-Sync for push those demanding titles at ultra settings.
This and other amazing feature that can be read about in the product description makes this a great component and a must have for a true PC enthusiast.
The refresh rate on this baby is the true high point for me, input lag is a thing of the past.
First I didn't pay that listed price, in fact no one should pay that price. It was and is available on Amazon for $159.99, albeit still expensive for a keyboard.
Great piece of hardware for an enthusiast, but most certainly overboard in the price department for someone on a budget. It functions flawlessly, my purchase here was decided pure based on the theme of my build and the ability to again maintain a single RGB environment.
It does have a lot of great feature and cool effects that can be played around with in ASUS Armory.
I will say it has an extremely high quality feel to it, it has substantial weight and is easily one of the best mechanical keyboards that I've had the pleasure of using.
This one gets 4 stars purely due to it's pricing, that is NOT to say that I am in anyway dissatisfied with my purchase. In actuality quiet the opposite, I love this thing. But in a non-bias review mindset it comes at a premium price and a similar performing product can be had for most likely 1/3-1/3 of the price.
This one is hard to beat, I've used a few different brands over the years and this one tops the cake.
Feels great in your hand, customization is great and has a great appearance and RGB functionality. In my opinion fairly priced all things considered, a very premium product with impeccable functionality for gaming.
Awesome desk, really love it. Sturdy, functional, beautiful and LARGE. Great cable management system. Very versatile if you were needing a real office desk with a wide range of accessories.
These are a complete dream for a computer setup, I own a full range 5.1 Surround system from Klipsch's Reference Premiere line and this is just another great product from another great American company. Will later be paired with a powered Sub Woofer from Klipsch
