Description

Everything working well but i have a problem. When I'am playing Destiny 2 on my Dell monitor while watching a video on my Asus or just surfing on google chrome my FPS is crashing from 144 to under 60...I built this to overclock if needed but never did it because i'am scared of breaking something. My friend also told me that it will not give me that mucht of a performance boost....

I am thinking about buying a rtx 2080Ti, is my Cpu enough strong? do I need to change my PSU? Please its my first build Help Me!

There would a slight bottlekneck with the cpu on the gpu. But if you say you have a 1080 and play destiny 2 on 144hz I don’t it think it would make much of difference.

i dont see a problem with the psu. 650w should be fine. but personally i would get the cpu up to at least an i7-8700 @ 3.2 GHz if i were gonna get an RTX 2080. It would probably be fine with the i5 you have, but again, there might be a small bottleneck. anyway, hope that helps at all.

Check background programs running and kill any that aren't necessary. The i5 8600k is not going to bottleneck the rtx 2080, but upgrading will yield slightly higher fps results, however not high enough to make the switch IMO. Unless it is extremely cpu intensive the i5 is fine. Install malwarebytes and run a check, because if it is slow on things other than games, there is a good chance there may be malware. Try some diagnostic software for ram and other faults, like windows in built mem tester and others online. Do a smart hard drive check from crystal disk. And run disk cleanup and if necessary look in the bios for errors and look for high temps, specifically the cpu and gpu.

First of all: REMOVE tissues before taking pictures!

second: Did you do a drivers update lately? Have you installed the latest Win update? i heard about performance issues on the cpu. is the second screen also 144hz?

you have two displays, maybe install HWinfo64 or similiar to check CPU load while switching to desktop/chrome and post them here. best would be to see GPU load also..

and i would definitely oc the CPU. i mean, your CPU cooler makes no sense if you're not willing to push the cpu to the limit.

dont worry about your PSU. i dont think its that part thats broken.
