This build spiralled out of control very quickly (you can thank the bearded fellow in the photos for that, he's good at egging me on to get bigger and better parts)
It was supposed to be a straight swap from my old i5 build but then we couldn't find the screws for my h60 which lead to looking for an Am4 compatible cooler which got to thinking about looping it and then if it's being looped why not go all out and get a 1600x instead of a 1600? If we're going all out why not 16gb instead of 8?
You get the idea...
I've Included my Firestrike scores but if anybody wants anything specific benching/testing let me know!
This seems to be a Golden chip. Got it running at 4.1ghz with no problems and only a slight increase on the voltage.
Cinebench got the following results:
Regular Score: 1370 Single Core: 168
Running at 3200mhz no problem with the latest BIOS for the Mobo. Looks pretty too!
Great card from Sapphire which will easily tide me over until VEGA comes along
Great looking case (as you can hopefully see) but my lord was it time consuming to build (As you can probably see from my kitchen being turned into a workshop)
Great Headphones, light and comfy. Sound quality is superb
