Description

First watercooled build here. Using InWin 303 and two 360 radiators. Delided the 7700k. Using the new EVGA Hydro Copper 1080ti. I went overboard on the rads and sound dampening so the pump can use low rpm while fans spin at 600 rpm and never ramp up. I have to get my ear within inches to hear it.

Using the Asus motherboard with Aura to control the two led strips and phanteks CPU waterblock. I haven't attempted to photo all the lighting options, but you could chose any colors and effects. Just using distilled water for now.

No negatives really. I bought some unnecessary fittings, and I had to learn to bend PETG, but that's probably typical for a first watercooled build. This case is great to build in.

Part Reviews

CPU

Delided temps are low, still the best choice for my gaming based build.

Power Supply

Effectively silent at any load, comes with good looking and high quality cables. I didn't feel the need for custom cables.

Operating System

Bought a key on ebay and it works. Actually received a win 10 pro key.

Case Fan

Quiet at less than 1000 rpm. Seem to works well with my radiators.

Monitor

I had to send it back. G sync and 144hz were impressive, but on my desk next to another monitor the colors looked washed out. Spent a few days trying to calibrate but the TN panel looks washed out and dull when next to a VA or IPS monitor. Upgraded to an Acer Predator IPS which has much better color and contrast quality (although costs a lot more).

Interesting idea to add foam in the case to the right side of the motherboard, behind the revo/pump. Hides extra cables and mounting holes very well and matches colour theme of the case.

Thanks, I also used sound deadening mat in the rear compartment and added some photos to show it.

Cable management is sub par but no one is going to see that anyway. Rest of the build though is so beautiful really fantastic job!

Great build, Did you have any clearance issues between the ram and the video card? Im doing a build with this board and a FTW3 in a few days.

No ram clearance issues. The latch for the ram is towards the top of the motherboard. I read a review for this board suggesting a GPU backplate would have clearance issues, but that was not correct.

Thanks, I read the same review and started to get worried since I had already bought everything.

How did you position your power supply? Upside down or right side up?

Great build! Any issues with fitting the lower radiator and fans?

It's possible because I used an mAtx motherboard. There's just enough space for the bottom motherboard connectors to clear the top of the fans.

Beautiful build. +1. The InWin 303 is a great choice. I'm still contemplating putting a loop in my dual Xeon server. ;)

Thanks for your comment! Added three pics from the backside. I also lined the rear panel with sound dampening mat up to the rear ventilation slits. My fan controller is just sitting in the upper compartment.

All six fans connect to the pwm hub. I chose the crossflow rads to simply the lengths and complexity of the tube bends since I hadn't done that before and I thought it would give a clean look.
