CPU Clock Rate

GPU Core Clock Rate

GPU Effective Memory Clock Rate

Hi, this is my first long and anticipated attempt at building a PC! GPU: Msi 1050ti Gaming X 4gig I was originally planning on getting the 1060 3gig but budget issues and crypto pushed me towards the 1050ti for the time being. So far it's a little beast, it performs better than i thought paired with the 1500x. lm a noob at computers, so my first attempt at overclocking the card failed, i crashed the system and had to delete Afterburner to remove the saved application packets. Lesson learned, I'll attempt it again when i feel it's necessary. So far the card works great at stock speeds.

CPU: Ryzen 5 1500x Installation was easy and simple, the stock cooler was a little tricky to install although it was completely my fault on not understanding that i had to push down to lower the springs on the brackets. Performance wise, no problems thus far! Haven't overclocked passed it's stock 3.5hz yet. But so far I'm impressed. I'm not sure how ryzen chips fare against emulators like Dolphin, but whenever i play gamecube iso's on dolphin i get some slow down and low fps. Is anyone experiencing this with dolphin?

RAM: Corsair lpx 3000 ddr4 Nothing special here RAM is RAM, faster speeds the better for Ryzen! I went through alot of trouble getting these sticks, RAM is ridiculously overpriced right now ,what should have been 16gb of ram is now 8gigs do to my budget unfortunately. The sticks were NOT set at 3000 speeds upon boot up. But i set them manually at 2900 through the bios and everything seems to work fine now.

And that's it! I'm pretty satisfied with the over all build so far. Aside from Dolphin the thing is a little beast. I was running the Witcher 3 60fps@1080p upon messing with settings no problem. I was hitting passed 100fps on valley too. Games like Fortnite and Warframe are smooth. Btw THE CASE ROCKS! 50 bucks for tempered glass!

How is that case for cable management? I'm looking to upgrade to a tempered glass case in about a year's time, but it's never too early to start doing research.

Case is great when factoring the value of tempered glass if you care about that sort of stuff. But in practical use, it's an okay case. If there was one aspect the case is lacking, it's cable management. The case comes with two fans. They're not bad. Although i wish there was more head room to fit a radiator for potential liquid cooler. Again with the price, you're getting what you pay for. But so far i like the case alot.

Thanks for the help I'll definitely consider this case. I'm not too worried about fans as I have some pretty decent ones in my current case that I can carry over, but the iffy radiator support is definitely a negative for me. Anyways, it looks so damn good I might have to suck it up and forego the upgrade to an AIO.

Maybe consider adding an SSD and removing the unnecessary bloatware Windows has for faster start ups

I hear you, I'll definitely start investing in an SSD in the near future. I was stuck having to use an old standard hardrive laying around.

Very nice. My 11 year son is saving up to build his own budget gaming rig and this is a great build to add to his baselines.

U are missing thermal paste.

ElShigeryDingo submitter 1 Build 4 points 2 months ago

The Stock Cooler packaged with the CPU has thermal paste pre- applied.

AZAZELMILLZ 1 point 2 months ago

interesting i didnt know thermal paste came with the amd cooler well **** thats a good thing

ElShigeryDingo submitter 1 Build 3 points 2 months ago

Yeah. From what i understand all the stealth and wraith spire coolers have a coat of thermal paste under the heat sink. It's pretty convenient.
