First of all, check out atomicfede's build: Red Shine. Pretty cool. Also a modded cube.

This all started when my old mac couldn't run blender. I needed something better.

In a rush, I bought a lemon of a pc for 500 that had an r7 240 and an fx4300. I was pissed I found out I had been ripped off.

With Black Friday around the corner, a friend of mine helped me scrap together a parts list.

That same friend helped me build this pc. Over a few months, I have been modding this thing. I was 12 when I built this, and was inexperienced. Now i'm 13, and slightly less stupid.

All the parts on this PC are fine except the case, which, for 80 dollars, doesn't impress. All of corsair's other products are excellent, however their cases are cheap and flimsy.

You did well with this build. I'm also a big sucker for bunny pictures, even though I'm allergic to rabbits. Enjoy your computer, this will serve you well for quite some time. Thanks for sharing and plus one.

The 6th photo really unleashes the power of this PC

Bunnies have been shown to increase overclocking capabilities by over 300 percent. I got one purely for that reason.

Hey man, as I am just 14, I am glad to see that there are other people around my age on here. Check out my build, the Mega Pig. It's not as nice as this and I'll post it soon but I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on it. Also, how did you do the carbon fiber mod that says CUBE on it?

Adrew24 submitter 1 Build 1 point 22 months ago

I added carbon fiber vinyl wrap (the 3d kind) and wrote over it with a paint pen. Your build is still pending and it's not up with pics yet, but I will check it out.

Can this run good games

Adrew24 submitter 1 Build 2 points 12 months ago

Had to add another 8gb of RAM to get bf1 to run at 1080p 60fps on ultra settings, but yeah. It's a solid (although aging) gaming machine,

Doesn't seem like there's enough! Good to see another young one too.

but you might want more memory about 16GB because games going are going to require 8GB minimum and is going to decrease your performance

Yet you already said they have the minimum requirement when it comes to gaming. OP will be OK. As long they don't have a lot of applications running in the background it should suffice for now.

P.S. 8GB of RAM isn't going to decrease performance. It helps to have a good combo paired together which is the CPU and GPU.

Adrew24 submitter 1 Build 1 point 22 months ago

I might upgrade to 16 in the future anyway. I have this game called star citizen that eats up memory like there's no tomorrow.

Eltech 20 Builds 1 point 22 months ago

In the future it's understandable. Right now RAM seems to be high priced at the moment so hopefully when certain seasons come by mid way between the end of the year, a sale may appear. Even with Star Citizen you'll be OK for the time being.

4 months later... 8gb of cheap ddr4 is $90. I wish the etherium mining thing would end already :/

Eltech 20 Builds 1 point 17 months ago

Yes... the opportunity of "cheap" additional RAM seem to have went poof around July (2017) though that's just what I was noticing. It's going to be more difficult to see RAM go down in a reasonable price range for sometime until hopefully next year. Or if you watch it like the stockmarket and hope to catch a sweet deal somewhere. It reminds me of DDR3 from three years ago and of course those aren't any better either today.
