This is my first build and with that I went all out. I was originally planning to build a sky lake gaming machine but as a rise in interest to cad modeling came to me I decided to go x99 I bought the case months ago because after searching for the h frame mini seeing America was no longer supplying it. I'd assume that this case would become extinct to the market soon so I bought it. Well after much thought and asking around I found x99 to be a way to go. I originally planned to buy the 980 ti but then the 10 series came and I jumped on it. With 1070 in hand I began my quest it took a few months of work and determination till yesterday I had finally built it. The 18 core processor is an Es sample from eBay I took a large gamble on. Good news it worked just fine there were a few invisible scrapes on the metal from the previous heat sink. And even better since luck is horrible to me always it actually turned on. I have Windows ten but sadly no usb to connect to the reader so I'm stuck right now till I go to Walmart.
P.S. Don't call me crazy for making an open air x99
New content: I have installed Windows 10 and downloaded drivers. The ssd is recognized but the hard drive is not. Any suggestions?
Many features. Tiny board. One thing I wanted was a bracket that you can put in that would keep the wifi cables in place sure there are holsters on the shield but I have an open air case. And the case won't allow a shield or at least won't fit.
Ecc ram does Ecc ram stuff. I like lot's of ram.
Fast lil guy. Booting on a Xeon is even fast.
Painful to get judging I got it like a week after release. Newegg had like three in stock though.
This case impressed me from the day I saw it I bought in 2015 hoping to build something. Pleasure and fun to build in. I wish I bought the atx version too.
Fan stays off which is good no stress I wanted something reliable and I knew corsair evga and sea sonic made good ones so I stayed around those company's power supplys.
These move a good amount of air which is good for helping to cool 18 cores
