Description

SO this PC was built in early 2017 and all the parts were bought in 2016-2017. The parts originally were bought at a total of around 1,200$ but due to increasing prices of graphics cards and ram the total cost has gone wayyyy up. Anyways please leave comments and suggestions for fixes and future upgrades <3

Nice, well done, just turn that CM CPU fan other way as now you pushing hot air on your graphic card. Best way in your case would be if you point it towards your exhaust fan vertically... (there should be little arrows on the side of the fan to point direction of airflow) BTW Enjoy it!

Alright will do. Thanks! I really wasn't sure what way I was supposed to put it so this helps a ton.

Hi, not a comment on upgrades....... but I'm curious about you fan direction of the 212 EVO?

TBH I wasn't really sure what direction I was supposed to put it.

Nice build!!! I agree on the 212 direction exhaust it out the back of your case and use a fan there to pull it on the case, classic hyper 212 setup that is tried a true! My Evga will start to throttle abit at 60 C so everything you can do to keep it 2k plus is a must! My Evga 1070 ftw with +100 , +415 is a stock 1080 under 60C ;)

Alright awesome. I tried overclocking it a bit and it got a little hot so i'm sure this will help a bunch!

By throttle I mean it drops to 2050 instead of 2101 :)

If you really spent $900 on a 1070, that must really suck ***. I would never pay 3x msrp for a GPU but if you gotta have it now then there's really no way around it. Good looking build non the less =)

Luckily I bought the GPU around 2 years ago while it was 430$. It is insane how expensive they are now. Anyways thanks!

Yea true that. Bought a used 980ti for $300 last year before the GPU market crashed now theyre going for at least $600 =/

Nice build! +1

What monitor do you use?

Asus vg248qe. Its a nice and simple 144hz montor. Does the job!

I use an Acer GN246HL. I found the out of box brightness too bright, but thankfully you can change it, and I have it on Eco mode.

I just put mine on theater or something. I mainly use the asus one for gaming and my dell monitor for videos.

I'm new to this; so, I don't know much, but the lights inside your case are gorgeous! I DEFINITELY need a bigger case that allows for better cable management and extra stuff. This seems like a nice build from what I can understand :P

Thanks a lot! The s340 is a pretty basic and cheap case but definitely does its job. They also came out with an elite version with better cable management and a tempered glass panel that looks absolutely amazing and its only about 100$.

Only a hundred bucks? I might look into getting that. Thanks for the info!

Great looking case. I wish I waited another month to build mine because it came out after I bought mine.

it's actually just $80 at some retailers, but there are other even cheaper (and still amazing) cases that have tempered glass.

Could be. I've seen it go on sale.

basically the same specs as my first build except it now costs almost twice as much, feelsbadman

can't wait for prices to drop again so I can sell and rebuild my main pc

Nice build dude!

The only thing I would change is the front case fan. I would flit it for intake.

I actually just did that and it was much cooler!
