Description

A build that I've been waiting to do for a very long time. I really like the cleanliness of white, and I'll buy RGB anything, so I decided to base my build around that. The 1050ti was bought for a price I couldn't refuse, and will be upgraded to a 1080 Strix soon, of course.

Don't mind my monitor. It'll be replaced with a couple 27's soon!

EDIT: I know my fan was backwards while taking photos haha. It's been fixed. I redid all of my fans right at the end and completely overlooked it when I finally sat it on my desk.

I really wouldn't wait man. The 1080ti is so much better than vega 64, SO MUCH BETTER.

Nvidia are under no pressure to release a good card next gen. The ti is 30% better than the ti card, and a huge step up from the 980ti. Also the 1080ti can game at 4k easily. I wouldnt let this stop you. Get e.g. a Dell S2417DG.

100+hz gaming at 1440p with gysnch. BAsically as good as you can get right now.

The thing i would say to people to wait for is Coffee Lake. Hyperthreaded 6 core i7's :O huge step up 50%+

Yeah, the 1080 ruins the Vega, haha. I'll likely go ahead and snag one in a few weeks to truly make this build what I want it to be

You can buy a new cable mangement bar from NZXT that's purple for 10 bucks, just a thought. It can really accent the build

If you look at the build I just submitted, I just used a purple sheet of vinyl I got off amazon on it and that worked really well, it peels right off if you decide you don't like it later. You can use the vinyl on other parts too to really customize it.

is your rear fan intaking air?

Yeah, just wanted to add on this. For your system, the rear fan is normally set to exhaust, which makes sense for all things airflow. However, it appears that you have accidentally positioned the rear fan so it's intaking air from the outside and expelling it inside the case...

Yeah, I realized that rather quickly, and it's been fixed since these photos were taken, haha.

Very nice! I'm getting ready to build a similar system for my daughter with a purple/white theme. Have you considered adding a the NZXT Hue+? It would really make this pop.

I'm building in this case right now, but I'm struggling with how I want to do the cable management for the front motherboard cables (such as the pwr switch and USB 3.0 header) I have a similar mother board (Z270F) so the connectors should be roughly in the same spot. It looks like you have something covering the headers on the bottom there. What solution did you go with to hide/manage those connectors?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see now that it's just plugged in normally. The dark made it look like a cover of some sort

How's your Kraken holding? I'm doing a similar build with that cooler and the same ram but mini ITX on a Manta. Have heard stories about pumps being unreliable... How has the experience been so far for you?

So far dude, it's been great. I haven't seen my CPU clock at any temp above 45C, and I've had no problems with the pumps. I love this thing!
