Description

Budget mATX build for producer / DJ Void.
Dedicated to professional audio production and light gaming.

I tried my best to achieve optimal balance between performance and silence while working with a limited budget. It's not inaudible like the Red October, but in comparison to comparable builds it's very silent, while providing pretty serious performance for professional production with it's 6 cores and the 16GB RAM (DAWs profit a lot from additional cores and lots of RAM).
Didn't overclock by now, but made sure there is plenty of room for that with installing two IPPC fans on the Noctua NH-U12S.
Yes, it's a closed case and yet i painted the cooler. Can't say what that tells about me.

Theme looks really good for noctua fans. Pretty hard to do. +1

Well it's much easier with the IPPCs than with the O.G. models.

Very nice looking, mostly black color scheme is nice. The Noctua cooler actually looks good in this. Pictures are very well done too.

No worries, it's more about making sure there's no monopolies in the industry

Hahaha...say, do you feel the bern?! :P

  • 1 point

No, not really. Just a fan of competition and reasonable prices

That's too bad! At least if your're from the U.S. and entitled to vote there, you should definitely feel the bern!

I remember owning a prebuilt PC from iBuypower with that same motherboard and CPU, but it had no aftermarket cooler and a weaker RX 550 instead of the R9 380 you have.

For the first time I see a Noctua Cooler that is actually looking really nice. +1

I think there were some cases of that on this site before, but thx! : )

Good no nonsense build, and looks sharp. The FX6300 and R9 380 will do a good bit more then light gaming. :D

  • 2 points

Sure hope so. Will let owner test the system for a while, if components work fine, and then attend to oc. Should make the light gaming a more solid experience. : P

The pictures are so good, I wish every build would have pics like yours. Also great build.

Thx. I also wish at least all good build would have good images too. : /

This case look really sharp. I am adding this to my part list.

And again, you manage to make noctua fans look great. I like the owl

  • 2 points

Hope you like both owls: the one on the cooler and the one on the GPU...that's kind of the crux of the matter. ; )
Also the case is really something. Cheap, silent, a breeze to work with and even my girlfriend, a design addicted architect, thinks it looks stunningly good.

  • 2 points

Yeah, I noticed both, I really like owl. snowy owl are my favourite tho (it's a canadian thing, we like snow)

Yeah, thing is, I can't find it for under 220$ in Canada. Still, I can ship it form usa

  • 2 points

220!!?!!?!!? That...is...outragous! I actually paid 60 Euros, that's 87.50 CAD!

Yeah, it's amazon reseller. You can't take that seriously, there is just no official reseller in Canada

Nice build, don't get to see many Nanoxia case builds (I built with one here) around. I have a question though; were all your front panel cables long enough?

  • 1 point

Well, USB 3.0 was a tight fit, but yes, they were.

  • 1 point

Ok, maybe it was my routing then... I had to get an extension cable for the front panel audio header. Everything else was fine.

  • 1 point

Well, you got another mobo. Might depend on the position of the hd audio port. On pic 6 you can see/guess what i did: pull the cable through the top grommet, in through the first routing hole above the mobo, route it behind the mobo to come out right beneath the hd audio port.

Okay... tough for me to see that on my monitor. Even with that one little hitch, it's still a great case. Quiet as a mouse in a house full of cats...

Agree! And looking hella good!

I like the industrial fans. Still quiet at low RPM and pushes a lot of air. And not brown...

  • 2 points

Yeah, neither brown, nor beige. But silent. At low RPM. While playing Witcher on the other hand...well, let's say: headset recommended! ; )

  • 2 points

In the right case still fairly quiet. with any audio form my PC or noise from an open window MY 140mm industrial sit at a max of 60% I think based on the BIOS fan curve and still can't be heard. Quiet room at night...a little noisy but at least constant.

Suprisingly today, before i gave to build to it's rightful owner, i took another even longer run at Witcher and the fans stayed nice and quiet, the CPU stayed nice and cool...

  • 2 points

It's like the black fans are stealthed both visually and audibly. Just got my NH-U12S cooler, going to strap an industrial 120mm on.

Wow this HAS to get featured lol +1 for going AMD

Question: Have you OCed that 6300 yet? If you get it over 4GHz and stable than I'll definitely buy this mobo

  • 1 point

Nope not yet. Probably will get to that after owner confirms system is running without any flaws. On the other topic: Build has been up a bit long for going to be featured, but thanks! ; )
