Description

Hello everyone! I'm using this computer for gaming/desktop and it's working extremely great so far for my first build! I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves but if you have any questions or comments just shoot them down in the comment section!

I'd also like to give a special thanks to GAROLDonPC, questionmaster, jander1291, vagabond139, LarryWorrell, nolanrules, thedrumer1010, staffsMike, flippo, RedWhiteMonkey, Rtwhit, horusrogue, Hussein.H, Veizin, pegotico, elvenson, griffscavern, wkcz, and StrikerX11 for helping me with a lot of decision making!

Also I would LOVE to thank my brother for helping me make the final decision for all my computer parts!

Without everyone on this site I would still be stuck with an old 2 core laptop that has a maximum speed of 1.30 Ghz that can barely open this site itself without stressing itself and lagging extremely bad although now I have a 8 core processor that can reach a maximum speed of 4.00 Ghz and run this site no problem and did I not mention it can play games great!

Part Reviews

CPU

This processor is amazing! With 8 cores and 4.0 Ghz of speed you can do so much! I highly recommend this for anyone that is looking to build a gaming/desktop computer and wants a bang for the buck!! :)

Motherboard

This ASRock motherboard is compatible with every part I have and it was recommended to me by my brother who has build computers recently. I'm very happy with this mobo!

Memory

You can't go wrong with Ripjaw memory! I've had this recommended to me and I'll tell you it's performing very well!

Storage

This SSD is very helpful! I'm using it to store all my important content that I want to load faster to be more efficient! It's working great so far and I really recommend it to you!

Storage

This 1TB HHD is used to put all my normal content in such as pictures, videos, etc and I really recommend it for that! If you're gaming also check out the Samsung 850 EVO-Series 120GB 2.5" SSD to put all your important content on such as games and operating system!

Video Card

What can I say? This graphics card works very well and can handle all games on high-ultra settings at 1080 at a nice fps! I really recommend getting this as it is a nice bang for the buck!

Case

This case comes with many fans and it has very nice airflow and cable management is pretty easy! It also looks very nice and it's very roomy!

Power Supply

Very nice power supply! I'm glad it has such a high wattage for a great price! Don't hold back buying this if you're looking for a nice psu!

Optical Drive

For ~$20 this is a really good optical drive! I used it so I could install windows 8.1 (64 bit) on my computer and it did the job! It read it fast, nice, and was very easy to install!

Operating System

Windows 8.1 (64 bit) is a fantastic operating system! I really love the layout and how easy it is to use!

Monitor

If you're hesitant on buying this just do it! It has a great viewing angle, is huge, led, and ips! Also the price is not bad at all for something of this quality!

Keyboard

I'm using this keyboard to type right now and I'll tell ya what! It's extremely comfortable, affordable, and looks great when you turn the lights on! The fact that it comes with a mouse is like a bonus because the mouse is awesome! It lights up, has a comfortable scroll, and a nice layout! Get this for sure!

Oh yeah I'm enjoying it a lot! Skyrim ultra settings, 1080p, 60fps constant! I LOVE IT! I'm just glad there is people like you that want to help people that know little to nothing about computers. After building this computer and doing lots of research I feel like I've learned a lot and I really want to help people now! :)

jander1291 1 point 29 months ago

Enjoy bro! thank you for the mention, glad to help.! My chair is similar to yours but made of iron instead of wood, we better upgrade that! hahaha.

PD: When you can, work a little that cable managment, you can check other builds with the same case as your to get tips of how to hide and organize those cables. Game on!

SSLgame submitter 1 Build 1 point 29 months ago

I can't even express how much better this is than my laptop... I just love it so much.. but yeah I agree that we both need to upgrade our chairs!! I might buy something like this because It will feel a lot more comfortable than this wooden chair but also it's a lot cheaper than most and it may not spin but that's okay because I'm not at a circus :D

SSLgame submitter 1 Build 1 point 26 months ago

Yeah I'm sure that you can! Make sure you verify it through the forums on this site before you buy it though. :)

hellios007 1 point 26 months ago

ok bro, i'm thinking of building the same build with yours, would it bottleneck if my amd fx 8350 won't be OC?

SSLgame submitter 1 Build 2 points 19 months ago

Woah, I'm sorry for this extremely late reply! PROCRASTINATION at its finest! I'm sure by now that you have gotten your build completed so that's awesome! :D For all those that may read this comment later on.. I haven't overclocked my PC once and I haven't had any problems with the cpu performance towards gaming or browsing. If you're still on this site I'd love to know what you parts you went with for your PC!
