Description

I built this machine in 2014 so I could play video games like GTA V and other games, but these were not the original parts for the computer. This build started with a FX- 4200 and a GTX 750ti. That worked for almost everything I wanted to play but I wanted to play these games on max settings and all that cool stuff so I decided to upgrade the cpu and gpu. I don't really need all the 970 or 8350's power now because I really only play H1Z1: KOTK but its nice to have just for the hell of it. The only issues I have with this build is the HDD is really slow so an 850 evo may be in the near future for Zues.

ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS FOR SSDs WILL BE NOTED WHEN I DECIDE AND CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN.

Part Reviews

CPU

8 Core at 4ghz... OP asf. Would recommend to anyone.

Memory

No issues after 3 years. Solid choice for RAM.

Storage

Works great for storing large amounts of files or small games. Slows AAA games when moving too fast across the map.

Case

Best case I've ever owned, will be buying another for a future build!!!!

My advice on ssds is to find the cheapest one in the capacity you want and then look at the reviews. If it has bad reviews check out the second cheapest one and it's reviews. An ssd is one of the best upgrades you can ever make in my opinion.

As far as the 970 and 8350 are concerned, I say just keep it. There will always be new games and eventually you will probably want one.

I give your build an nvidia 3.5 out of 4.

Try to get an SSD that has a MLC controller, not TLC (toggle). It should last longer. Update firmware before you use it. And the larger the capacity the better is the transfer rate. 128gb is slower than 256gb and 500gb should be a bit faster.

I like the build. My only advise is to up the ram speed and quantity. 2 x 8 gb of 2133 ram will really help out things a lot on this build.
